I've read some reviews here that complain about its lack of features, fragility, size, etc., all of which frankly baffle me. It's a $20 coffee maker that makes coffee. It makes coffee. Full stop. Yes, it lacks bells and whistles like a timer, auto shut off, etc. But it's not that much different from other coffee makers except in logistics (the swing-out basket).
I bought this several months ago as a replacement for my Keurig when it broke (and when I decided that making that much garbage via the cups was just too much for me) and I'm really happy with what I got. I live alone and don't have a problem brewing coffee when I want versus setting a timer, so for my lifestyle it's absolutely perfect. I echo the other comments about treating it somewhat delicately, which I think most adults should be able to handle - with normal use of force I've had no problems.
I actually that the arm for the swing-out basket comes off so I can rinse it out (occasionally coffee grounds get down in there and make their way into my coffee), and I know exactly how much water to put in to get one cup of coffee for myself. I never need to brew several cups at a time (I just don't have that many morning houseguests, so the size is not an issue for me. If you have four people in your house who need multiple cups of coffee at exactly the same time in the morning, or if you have children who like to throw your kitchen items around, this is definitely not for you. But if you need coffee, just coffee, on demand, you'll find this more than adequate, I think.
