From the Publisher
College freshman Sienna Lewis has the world in front of her. She's about to board a plane with her three friends for a summer study abroad program in Greece. After a call from her uncle Cai, she realizes things are not always what they seem. The hacktivist group known as SWARM just committed another deadly attack and tragically, this one will change the world forever.
Chosen against her will
Sienna, Darren, Chloe, and Nick learn they have been chosen for the Elixir Project—a master plan designed to overthrow SWARM—and participation is mandatory. In the process, loyalties are tested as Sienna realizes firsthand how one simple statement can undo everything she thought was true.
Nobody saw it coming
As she faces the deadly challenges of the Project, Sienna confronts layers of conspiracies that force her to question everyone she trusts and everything she believes about her friends, her parents’ untimely deaths, and herself—all while staying one step ahead of SWARM.
Everything can be hacked, even the truth
In this fast-paced, near-future thriller, will love and loyalty have time to catch up with Sienna? Or will she crack under the pressure of a future already chosen for her?

Top Customer Reviews
I would be extremely upset if I had spent any amount of money on this book. I'm a little upset I spent time on it. I love some of the non-fiction Kary has written. It was very painful for me to even skim to the end of this one. No, I didn't start out skimming; I didn't miss plot points or structure because I skimmed. Skimming is the only way I could finish it. Giving it a deep read for the first quarter or so was jarring. I'm not out to get Kary. I'm one of his "true fans", and I've given several friends recommendations to read his work.
The other reviews, I'm sure you'll notice, are extremely favorable. I just don't think I'm *that* out of touch with reality. But I have a solution!
READ THE SAMPLE! If it doesn't turn you off, go ahead and get the book. Maybe I'm wrong. It wouldn't be the first time.
Just don't base your decision to buy/not buy the book on any of these reviews (even, and especially, mine).
(PS - I submitted a negative review with more details earlier and was immediately attacked in the comments. I deleted it due to the attacks and considered just letting it it go. Then it irritated me that I let trolls, who I'm certain Kary has nothing to do with at all, influence the outcome. So, for real, just read the sample. Let the author's work stand or fall on its own merits).
But what I also loved is it helped me recognize some things in my own creative life, when I'm accomplishing the stuff I care about, and when I'm not. Especially because of the word FLOW, used quite a bit here. As an artist, I crave flow and want it more often than I have it. This story made me think about flow, and look at my own past accomplishments/failures in a broader light. When I step up and when I don't. AND this thinking inspired ME to step up more, consistently more.
