About Elizabeth Anne McKinney

While most teenage girls were busy thinking about the beach, biology, or boys, Elizabeth Anne McKinney was busy getting her first two novels published. She conceived the idea for her Sons and Daughters series at the tender age of twelve, and she has been writing ever since. Elizabeth wanted her books to be different by eliminating many of the clichés that are so prevalent in most young adult fantasy. Although her books are filled with adventure, romance, action and suspense, they are also rich in descriptive narrative, interesting plot twists and strong character development.
Her first book in the series, Young Falcon, introduces the reader to seventeen year old Elysia and her family living in the elven country of Yaracina. It sets the stage for an epic conflict between the elves and once thought to be extinct humans who have invaded her beloved country. In McKinney's second book, Fallen Rose, Elysia is thrown headlong into the midst of the war between the humans and the elves and risks everything to help her countrymen while suffering the loss of loved ones dear to her.
A proud Texan by birth, Elizabeth is now attending Liberty University in Virginia. When she is not pursuing her studies or working on the next book in the Sons and Daughters series, she enjoys listening to music from her favorite movies, designing costumes for her characters, spending time with family and friends, and dreams of living in Scotland someday.
