The DVD has two short routines - great as a tack-on or for those with limited time for yoga. Routine 1 is 20 minutes and is more flexibility oriented, but with some strength thrown in. Routine 2 is more challenging - it works on strength and has a heart rate elevation effect and takes 25 minutes.
What I liked:
-> Tara Stiles is spectacular to watch at yoga. She is limber, tall, and it seems like her body was designed for yoga. I find her on-screen personality very likeable.
-> The flow is pretty different from the typical yoga vinyasa workout. No sun salutations. She starts Routine 2 with a one minute plank. Near the end, you find yourself in plank again and she makes you hold it again for one minute. When I do planks I am mentally counting down seconds. She cues you to take ten deep breaths. Planks seem a whole lot easier when you count down 10 rather than 60.
-> She manages to cover a lot of ground in a limited time. She works in crow, bridge, wheel, shoulder stand, plough, planks, bow, cosmic dancer, half moon, garland, down-dog variations, splits and some standing poses if you do them both end to end. A cool balance flow is incorporated (one legged, standing) too.
Factors to consider:

Overall, this video is great for people who are looking for a cardio-type yoga. I find a lot of slower paced yoga videos slightly boring but with these routines, time flies because they're fast-paced and challenging. I've been doing the routine every morning for weeks and I have yet to get bored.
You don't have to be a hardcore yogi for this dvd. The moves aren't too difficult and don't require superhuman flexibility(although Stiles does exhibit it!). The first segment is extremely easy and Perfect for stretching and just making you feel really good about yourself. The second segment at first had me shaking and falling on my mat but now after a few months of once a week sessions I can balance like I'm in the circus(small exaggeration) and am so close to getting crow pose(that balancing act where you fold your body up and stand on only your hands). This is one of my favorite dvds and some advice from me:GET IT!
I have only completed the first yoga workout which is for beginners/intermedate. I love it!
i always get a great stretch and still burning calories.
I have tried during the 2nd workout but it is still to hard for me...i can only do the 1st ten minutes or so. I would say the 2nd workout is very more advanced.
Great dvd! i do not regret getting it at all even after doing the same workout 100 times!
