So far I'm very satisfied with this water bottle. the pop top works well and it's great that you can pop it with one hand. the top/cap is a bit bulky however and depending on how I grab the bottle, it could wind up getting in the way of my face when I go to drink. I wonder if they could make this cap smaller, big enough to cover the actual glass rim and not the whole bottle's circumference. I like the wide opening since I occasionally like to add ice cubes but to be honest, mouth contact is not as secure as with a smaller opening, meaning I have to be a little more careful how I'm moving when drinking or it could spill unlike with a standard opening where your lips would prevent that from happening. more like drinking from a glass than a bottle.
the glass leaves absolutely no taste or odor, which is also what I love about my Chemex coffee maker, nothing but the taste of what you put in it. hated the plastic taste or metal taste from most non glass bottles, even bpa free plastic.
it hasn't leaked yet and I've had it sideways in my car but with the lid lock engaged. when it's not standing vertically, this is the only time the liquid comes into contact with the rubber stopper in the lid but I still don't taste plastic. I guess it's silicone?
the rubber sleeve is nice and has great grip, even when there's condensation. the loop is handy for when you're carrying several things at once.
The only thing I would consider a negative, though a small negative, is the overall weight compared to the volume of liquid it holds. I get a little more than one standard plastic water bottle in it but it weighs as much as two or three combined. in my case this is really fine because I don't take it out of the house much but if I had to travel with it everyday, I think it would be a bit cumbersome. I am a little nervous about the cap maintaining a leak free seal or the pop up mechanism malfunctioning but so far, I'd recommend this bottle and would buy it again.
