Recipe: Elmer's Glitter Slime

Ingredients:

- (1) 6 fl. oz. bottle Elmer's Glitter Glue.

- 1/2 tbsp baking soda.

- 1 1/4 tbsp contact lens solution.

Mix Glue & Baking Soda

Mix together entire contents of 6 fl. oz. bottle of Elmer's Glitter Glue and 1/2 tbsp baking soda in a bowl.

Add Contact Lens Fluid

Add 1 1/4 tbsp contact lens solution and mix until slime begins to form.

Remove & Knead

Take slime out of bowl and begin kneading with both hands. Add 1/4 tbsp contact lens solution to make slime less sticky.

Adult supervision is required. This project is not appropriate for children under the age of 3 years.

Warning: If a large quantity of contact lens solution is accidentally ingested (more than 1 tablespoon), get medical attention immediately.

Purchased these bright-colored glitter glues to further fuel my 12-year old daughter's ridiculously nonsensical slime collection. When will this fad end? Until it does, I'll own more glue, contact solution, borax, shaving cream, and soft clay than any other human being on this earth. But I will have some pretty amazing slime to attack the enemy with when Armageddon comes. So I guess that's a plus.

Arrived on time, in perfect shape, and ready to make slime for my daughters birthday party. By the way Sta-flo works the best as an activator. I'm a school teacher, and we tried many slime experiments using various activators such as: borax, contact lenses solution, etc...we got the best results using sta-flo. Just in case you teachers want to do a class experiment. It is also less messy. Elmers glue, (be sure it's Elmers!) you can use white, clear, or glitter glue-but make sure it is Elmers. Use Elmers Glue, water, shaving cream, and sta-flo....any coloring you want to use. The glitter glue was a hit...worked much better than using the clear and adding glitter. ELMERS ONLY

These glue are the best for making slime. They are much thicker than the clear Elmer’s glue. My kids like these better with all the glitter already mixed in. The glitter does not get stuck to the hands like the ones you would add yourself, and the glitter inside has a generous amount.
Very nice, vibrant colors. You can use Elmer’s Magic solution, (kind of expensive), for stickier, “gooier”, slime or just use contact solution and baking soda for the more pliable type. The latter can actually be taken out into a ball and thrown around, without making a mess. Just depends on your kids, (and adults) preference.

We made glitter slime and loveeee how awesome this sensory activity is. The reason I didnt rate 5 stars is the recipe for slime was quite off for me. I had to triple the amount of bakingsoda and contact solution to get it to stop being sticky and stop adhering to my hand. Other than that, we loved it! Even added foam balls for extra fun textures.

Can’t squeeze the bottles

The glue looks nice from the bottle, but it’s nearly impossible to get out. My child definitely cannot squeeze them and as a mom with strong arms I have to put a lot into it to get the glue out. We don’t use them since we first tried. It’s very disappointing.
