READ this, I mean seriously. Remember that feeling you get when you fall in love with something new. Can you remember that feeling, for why you started reading in the first place? Read this and you will see, you will remember that passion coming back to you full force and remind you we all need a little fiction and fairy-tales in our lives!
What a beautiful tale of love, loss, friendship and of course Adventure.
Go sail the high seas and grab this BOOK!
Elusive takes us on the romantic journey of Noah and Willow. In addition to their beautiful love story which spans a number of years, we get to hunt for treasure with a few twists, turns and a little mystery thrown in.
Noah and Willow are both great characters. Even though they came from different backgrounds, they both were lonely growing up and they each learned to love the sea and the mysteries it contains. The secondary characters were good too. Noah's crew and Willow's best friend and grandfather added so much to the story.
The next book set to release in this series will be about Noah's oldest friend and crew member Snake. I cannot wait to read more and see what happens next.
Kace is wonderful. He is compelling, interesting, and has one of the best and most developed characters backstories that I have ever read. It is the perfection of this story that makes him incredibly compelling and allows the reader to understand why Willow is so drawn to him, why the attraction is instant, and why it lingers even years later.
There are moments where you heart jumps; there are moments that make you absolutely unwilling to put the book down; there is an ending that is absolutely perfect, both for the book and for the characters.
The writing in Elusive is dynamic, it pulls you into the story, and it keeps you there. Are there areas where you have to suspend disbelief a little bit? Of course there are, because it is a pirate book. And, we all read books about pirates because, well, they are pirates. And, they are over the top, and kind of grouchy, and tough to get to know, and a little difficult...which also makes them men. :)
The bottom line is that this is a well written, well paced and perfectly developed book.
I definitely recommend this title.
Two people, Kace and Willow, who come from such different lives, meet by chance, by a mutual love of the ocean and the people behind that love, only then to meet again..a connection so strong it was imposssible to forget or deny.
I absolutely loved this book, everything about it..the characters, the story, the tiny little details and the big picture..and I can't wait for more books in this series.
I am afraid I can't say much ;) other than the fact that this story is freaking magical and so mesmerising..I just want to read it all over again!
