Had this harness for six months now and still going strong on my very powerful 4 year old german shepherd , very well thought out with the handle and underneath clip i find these come in very useful when i need help to restrain him in tight spaces with passing cars and tricky situations , I would highly recommend this harness it fits him well with the proper adjustments and looks very smart i even hang his poo bag dispenser on it saves me carrying them.

Front D ring is for ID tags NOT leash!!!

First off all the people giving this a bad review for the front D ring. That is for ID tags NOT a leash. They did not reinforce it like the D ring on the dogs back. So if you are looking for a dog vest with a front clip this is not what you are looking for. This is a vest made extremely well. Ducky wears this vest everytime he leaves the house. He goes hiking, trail walking, in the ocean, to the store, you name it he wears this vest. It has shown barely any signs of wear and he seems to find it very comfortable. He is able to back out of it if he tries really hard but that is any vest this style. If you are looking for an easy slip on and go, this harness is perfect. Ducky is 60 pounds and about the size of a border collie and he wears size medium with lots of extra adjustment length.

We have small standard Daschshund and he is 18 inches long but he is very fit and we have had a hard time finding the best harness that would fit him and not pull. ( we know his back is sensitive)
I love the material. I first bought a small one, it was too big so I returned and bought a XS and tá da! It’s perfect, great material, we fell a lot safer that he can’t get out of it! Buying another one when our another puppy get big enough for XS!

Unfortunate D ring failure( updated 2018)

The harness itself is well built , fits nicely and looks good however the D ring used for the front failed in my first day out. I noticed the connection at the top is well designed and based on that I figured the front would be the same but it is not. Unfortunately I normally stay away from these D clips for the very reason they over time widen and can slip through the fabrics loop and come off, when I noticed this I added a second collar just in case and as I was walking I noticed the D ring came off and my dog was only attached by my back up collar seen in the picture. Because the rest of the harness seems good so far I will attach my own sturdier connection. I hope the manufacturer takes this into consideration and replaces it with the one used on top. **UPDATE 8-25-17** The company contacted me and was very apologetic for the D ring failure and are currently working on a solution to resolve the issue with the D ring. I thoroughly appreciate any company taking the time to call me and have a conversation on what they can do improve their product, therfore I will continue to shop their products and know that if there is a problem they will fix it.

First off, I would like to make note it was worth the 2 month wait for these to come back in restock. They look great in picture and amazing in person. I had tried another style from PetSmart but she didn't like it and it also didn't sit well on her. I love that it falls above the shoulder area and it has comfortable padding in it so it's not irritating her to be constantly wearing it. Usually the ones that are in that style are just the thin leash material. She really likes it and she definitely looks super cool with it on. Plus she looks like an Avenger.

The harness is very good quality, easy to put on and seems to be very comfortable, we can tell this because the dog hasn't rubbed against walls trying to get it off!

I have tried so many harnesses on Romeo, from a £2 harness when he was a tiny puppy (which actually worked great and was easily adjusted until about 6 months old) to the most expensive brands you can find. The harness fits him comfortably, although I have the neck slightly "loose" so that I can get it over his enormous ears.
Properly adjusted, the chest strap is really easy to fasten and completely secure.
The neoprene style padding is excellent and I have washed this product twice by putting it inside an old walking sock and it comes out good as new.
As you will see from the picture, Romeo and I get to some pretty remote places, using a lead and an extending lead and whatever muck and dirt covers the harness on our return can soon be removed by running it under a warm tap. I have used it with three brands of coat and the back lead attachment point has worked with all three coats. The "no-pull" front attachment is also very good, but you would need the neck strap a bit tighter than I use because the harness twists around.
More expensive than most harnesses but worth every penny.
Romeo is a large cocker spaniel and takes a size M harness. I leave the neck slightly loose so that I can get it over his ears but the chest strap fits snugly and Romeo is always ultra keen to get his harness on!
