Product Description
Pack of 25 sheets 8.5" x 11" handmade paper safe to print at home and will sprout flowers if planted. It is a very light weight paper, best for single sided print. We use these to print invitation text that is then mounted on a heavier paper stock. These light weight seed embedded printer safe sheets are best for single sided printing. They will accept laser or inkjet printing on most machines and should be hand fed. The seeds are so tiny that your equipment is safe from harm. Use these to write a letter to your favorite gardener or to print directions to your special events. Be sure to include a note to let the recipient know the paper will bloom if planted. Our wildflower blend contains Seeds include Snapdragon (Annual), Petunia (Annual), Beardtongue (Perennial), Daisy (Perennial), Thyme (Perennial), Papaver Rhoeas (Annual), Catchfly ( Biennial/Perennial ), Maiden Pinks (Perennial), Chamomile (Perennial). The plants tolerate partial shade and need 4 hours a day of direct sunlight. Will grow to about 3'. Please request a free sample before you purchase to ensure a good fit, please call us at 1.888.294.1526 or email ote [at] custompaper.com Germination may begin as quickly as one week or may take up to six weeks depending on your regional growing zone. This handmade lotka paper is made in the highlands of Nepal by rural craftspeople in an environmentally friendly process with 50% recycled content. The raw material for our paper is the Daphne bush. It is farmed and harvested from 3-4 year old plants that are cut down and stripped of their bark. The plant is not destroyed when cut down, it regenerates from the root. The cane like stick, once its bark is removed is dried and used to heat the villager’s homes, to provide fuel for cooking and also for the production of the paper. All of the water used in the paper production is reclaimed and reused. The bark is beaten by hand and boiled to break it down to a pulp (where it is mixed in with recycled pulp and paper scrap collected from the card and envelope manufacturing process) that is then pored into screens to form the sheets. These sheets are then dried in the sun. The whole process is not only earth friendly but also provides a large community with a healthy enterprise. If you plant this paper in a pot, or in your garden please cover with just 1/8” of soil and keep moist until established. We want your experience with our products to be 100% positive however we cannot control your growing conditions to ensure the paper you plant sprouts into a healthy garden of flowers. There are many things that will influence the success of your planting that are out of our control. We can assure you that our paper has an abundance of live seeds embedded in it. Just because you don't see watermelon sized seeds, does not mean that the paper you received is seedless. The seeds we use average more than three million seeds per pound. They are tiny! Our paper is the most tested seed paper stock in the country. It is tested by us, tested by the seed supplier, tested by the USDA (twice) and tested by the department of agriculture in Nepal (twice). We know it will sprout and grow. Please be patient when you attempt to start the seeds. Some of the plants in the paper have just a 1 week germination time and some have a six week germination time. Keep watering the planting until you see sprouts, then keep watering it regularly until the plant is established. Seedlings do not have the strength to survive even a brief drought.

I’m guessing that the people who aren’t able to get these to grow aren’t following the directions. Seriously, they can only be covered with 1/8” soil (I know you think it needs more but IT DOESN'T), and they MUST be kept consistently moist. As a gardener, I can attest that seeds are difficult to germinate and keep alive to adulthood. That’s why big box stores make a lot of money on potted adult plants. But these WILL grow if you just follow the instructions!
