This is the story involving Addie and Tom. A lot happens to these two, with a lot of twists and turns as the two get to know one another, as well as get involved in the mystery of an emerald necklace. Addie is independent and used to being on her own, making her seem older at times, but still very much a teenager in some of her reactions. Tom is mysterious at first, but with good looks, cooking skills, and devotion to Addie and family, he has the makings for a good hero. The romance between is slow burn, with not as much between them as I would have liked to have seen, but I blame the writing style more for that. The two interact a lot, but because of how it was narrated, with so much telling of what was done, and more describing, but without much feeling and emotion shown by Addie, it is hard to get into the feelings sometimes.
Overall, it was a good read! There was plenty of suspense and mystery throughout. The romance was always present, but not quite as satisfying due to the narration, as previously mentioned. It also takes place in high school, and the drama is definitely there, along with issues seen in high school. Just be warned that if you don't like rape or attempted rape, you should be wary of reading this one. The writing and editing were good, flowing decently and without any major grammar mistakes. More telling than I would like, and that detracted from the story for me at least. But overall, if you like a story with romance, but nothing graphic, and plenty of suspense, then I recommend this one. It's the first in a series; it could be read as standalone, though, besides a few random loose ends. But, if you liked this one, then you can consider getting the next one on the series, which is now out.

The story Emerald Green: A Mystery Thriller Romance (Murder in Savannah Book 1) by Lindsay Marie Miller is a YA/mystery/crime/romance book. This is a story that had me hooked in the first few chapters and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the last page. It is a story with enough mystery, thrills, secrets, and revelations that I was on the edge of my seat for just about the entire book. This is the story of Addie Smith and Tom Sutton. It is how they meet and how Tom reveals things to Addie that she never knew about herself or her past. This also begins a journey in which they continue to find out more revelations and even start to fall in love. Sometimes stories are told that have facts omitted or may contain only part of the truth. Even if it is to protect those we love this can cause hurt feelings and misunderstandings. Will Tom and Addie be able to hold on to their blossoming relationship through all the secrets and revelations? Will they find out the complete truth about their past? There are dangerous people who have their own agenda and goals. They would do whatever it takes to be successful. What happens when one of them sets their sites on Addie? This book is awesome! I loved the characters of Tom and Addie. I really felt for Addie as it seems that her parents are more interested in their work than in her. She is left alone all the time and while she has enough financially it doesn’t stop the pain of wanting her parents to be there for her when she needs them. Tom is a boy that has a mysterious past and when he talks it gets Addie frustrated that he doesn’t fully explain everything. One thing is clear however and that is that Tom is falling in love with Addie. This is the first book in a series and does end in a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to read what happens in the next story. This is the first book I have read by the author and it will not be the last. She creates stories and characters that you will not soon forget.
