I bought it to use while camping this summer. I charged it from the wall before the first use. It charged my cell phone while vacationing well. Once. I couldn't get it to charge my phone again, even when in direct sunlight (I just laid it on a table outside or next to the window...didn't stick it directly to a window for fear of leaving sticky residue). So...I'm still figuring it out. The red/green lights aren't informative at all, as I have no idea what they mean. I'll recharge from the wall and try again.
