There is nothing to dislike about this product. I purchased some of these water packets about a year ago from another source to incorporate into a first aid / over night survival kit for use while riding our ATV's. About six months ago while out riding with two of my sons, (both adults), I crashed my ATV and cracked some ribs. Me and my son James found ourselves near passing out from the heat and adrenalin rush, we needed water. The water packets along with a cliff bar, (blood sugar), that was in the kit made the difference in getting back on our own instead of having to be professionally rescued. I purchased these to put into kits I made for the other two ATV's. They are light weight, take up little room and the packs are well sealed and sturdy, taste was good, price was great. I also put a couple packets in each glove box of our vehicles. Having a couple in a basic first aid kit is also a good idea.

The ONLY reason I gave these 4 stars is because they were already 11 months past the manufacturing date when I got them, cutting the longevity of the item by 20%. These water packets have are neat and according to the instructions the 12 packets that you receive is actually enough water for 2 people to survive for 3 days, or one person to survive 6 days. Even though I got a product that was already a year old I got twice the amount I expected. I haven't tasted the water yet, however it should taste fine. Even though I only get to keep these for 4 years (instead of 5) before replacing them, that still beats swapping out water bottles. If the product had come in with a manufacturing date that was only 1-3 months old I would have defiantly have given it 5 stars as opposed to 4.

Bags are sturdy and well sealed. The ones I received still had almost five years left until expiration. I opened one to taste and did not notice any strong chemical or odd taste.

I bought these to keep in my survival bag for emergencies. I haven't had to use them yet, which is a good thing. It's great to have them just in case I need them and provides me with good piece of mind. I love the long shelf life too!

I packed these in my wife's backpack that stays in her car. If you are going to spend hours driving in the Arizona heat each day, you'd better have a game plan in case of a break down. They don't expire for a few years, but even if they did... expired water that taste like foil is better than no water in 115 degree heat with no shade in sight. The packets don't take up much space and seem to be pretty easy to open. It appears that some of the pre-cut edges were missed, so a knife might be required to get it started. Good deal on a good product..

These small packets of water slide into your emergency backpacks easily, are lightweight and pliable. They also have a long shelf life. Our family each carry 4 of these in our 24 hour emergency packs which we store in the trunk of the car. The only problem is the pouch has to be torn to open (there is a notch) but there is no way to reseal the pack if you are conserving. We carry clips to close them.
