I love this pan for cooking any thing, stew, frying a chicken even making soup. And it cleans ups so well your can not believe it. if you burn anything to it just add some hot water and soap place back on stove and reheat it up, let sit for about 15 minutes and whip out all the burned on stuff, it works. It you really did a job you may have to clean a bit with baking soda too. Best pan I have ever had. and I cook alot!

As most others, I think this is a great pan and I cook a lot. But the reason I can't give it 5 stars is also stated by another reviewer. If you saute anything with gas heat at more than low, and who doesn't?, the sides of the pan scorch. I'll live with that because it's a great pan but it does take away a bit from the enjoyment.

I enjoy cooking and I enjoy making sauces and gravys. It is well made and study. The top is well made and thick as well. This skillet is a must have if you are making spaghetti sauce, meat sauce, smothered meat, anything that I use to normally stick in my large pots but this one is better because if you are trying to brown meat or saute meat you can get more (pork chops, steaks, chicken breasts) in here and you don't have to cook them in as many batches and also the meat tenderizes quicker because more of them are in contact with the bottom where its hot. I definitely love this pot. It will get a lot of use in my kitchen. I love that the top is see-through so you can watch what you are cooking without letting all the heat out.

I thought I was buying tri-ply, but this has very thin, cheap sides and a giant heavy disc of steel on the bottom. This is a dollar store quality item, easily worth three or four dollars.

I used it once, the sides got too hot, they are so thin the edge could cut you. This is light years away from real All Clad. Worst stainless steel skillet EVER.

I suggest you buy this one instead, extremely well made and real tri-ply.

By far the best saucepan I purchased and looking forward to purchasing more products from Emeril the quality is wonderful. Nothing sticks and really easy to clean this sauce pan . I like to wash them fully than put them in the dishwasher to steam dry and the look like new each time.

I've had this pan for a couple months now and I'll say it's okay. I think I'm not quite use to cooking in stainless steel and I'm working on that. Everything stick even with cooking spray or butter. That's the part I'm not use to. I still think it's a pretty decent pan and the clean up is rather easy. Plus I haven't had the problem with it scorching on the sides when cooking with it like some reviews.

Pros:
Great width and depth. Versatile cookware useful for both cooking sauce and general sauté. Visually pleasant. Comes with a nice lid and good handles. Reasonable price compared to other stainless steel pans.
Cons:
Like all stainless steel cookware, sticks and stains very easily. A significant amount of oil (compares to non-stick) is needed for frying meat or vegetables. (I sort of forgot about this so the pan got stained right on the first use.)
Soaking in warm water for 15 min will remove sticks and burns (not grease stains though)

Basically a trade off-more cleaning time but less worries about toxic chemicals from Teflon. Worth it for the peace of mind.

I bought this because our large 35 year old fry pan finally gave out. (The handle fell off) We needed something to prepare large quantities of chicken and browning ground meat. It does a great job. No hot spots like our old pans. It heats evenly across the bottom. The reason for 4 stars and not 5, is because the lid handle gets too hot to touch. Otherwise, a perfect pan. It even matches our Oneida set, which, by the way, doesn't have a large skillet like the Emeril All-Clad. I really like the 'helper' handle. It makes carrying a full pan very easy.
