The Emile Henry Pizza Stone is made of all natural materials and is manufactured using proprietary Flame technology. First, the delivery was within four hours of order, thanks to a nearby "Sur La Table." Addressed the large label on top with some trepidation since many people complained about how difficult it was to remove. Not at all. Just carefully tease up a little bit of the edge of the label and slowly, gently peel it off. It's not paper so it won't tear easily. Some adhesive remains but no problem. Put on a little vegetable oil and use a paper towel to vigorously work it around in a circular motion. Gradually the glue will come off as the oil releases the adhesive. It took about five minutes to remove all the adhesive but the result is perfect. The little inspection label on the bottom pulled right off. I think this is the start of a beautiful friendship!

I have purchased a few of these over the years. Pizza is my favorite, I make one a week. Because of the high heat, the stone builds up black stuff over time. No pizza stone is immune from this. The ceramic coating on this stone is the easiest to clean of them all. After a couple of hundred uses, I usually just get a new one. This will always be my favorite.

This is a beautiful pizza stone that is great quality, my only issue is after 1 use, I’m not able to get rid of these stains. They have become imbedded into the stone. Still functional, just not as pretty. If anyone knows any way to remove this I’m open to ideas.
