The Emile Henry ceramic 10 inch pie pan was used to bake quiche and pies. The pies and quiches baked evenly. The Emile Henry ceramic pie pan be washed in the dishwasher. I haven’t seen any chipping or scratching from cutting or dishwashing; this is a very durable pie pan. This will make a great gift for the family “baker.”

Sadly, this came with a chip in the edge that the factory glazed over, for a rather expensive pie pan, I am disappointed, at the factory, this piece should not have even made it to the glaze step, and someone in QC should have put it in the flawed bin, and it shouldn’t have ever been sent out as a first quality piece by the store, who obviously did not check for quality when they received it, and should have sent it back to the manufacturer. I think I have to send it back. 😥

Dint press your crust too hard onto it as it will stick a bit, I guess that's to be expected. Otherwise, it is sturdy, a beautiful design, and will last a lifetime. Mine arrived with a tiny chip on the inside if the dish, but it shipped from Canada and is hard to find in white so I'm keeping it. Btw the bottom is not glazed, be careful on wooden tables.
