- Made of all Natural Materials. High-fired Burgundy clay using Emile Henry's HR technology (high resistance)
- Superior heat retention. Burgundy Clay has superior even-heat diffusion and heat retention properties; it keeps food hot on the table longer.
- Resistant against temperature change. For use in the oven up to 500 Degrees F. Oven, broiler, and microwave safe: Can go directly from freezer or refrigerator, to a hot oven, to table.

I've only had this for 4 days but have already baked 3 things in it. I selected the pie dish in what is known as oak or sand color. Truthfully, the color is a bit blah but I was looking for something that would not clash with things such as colorful berries or pumpkin, and would also look tempting for savory pies too. This neutral tone does the trick. As I experiment more with presentation, I think it will be a nice addition to the table straight from the oven in any season.The pie dish has a very shiny finish which has been very easy to remove the baked goods and to wash.I really like that the size of the pie dish in clearly imprinted on the bottom in both inches and centimeters. That will always be a helpful thing for anyone who uses this pie dish in the future and doesn't have the time to find a measuring tape mid-preparation.Also, many thanks to the Amazon staff who carefully wrapped it for shipping and the speed at which it arrived at my door. It was just in time for making a rhubarb pie using the gift of stalks from a friend's garden!

The pie dish has a very shiny finish which has been very easy to remove the baked goods and to wash.
I really like that the size of the pie dish in clearly imprinted on the bottom in both inches and centimeters. That will always be a helpful thing for anyone who uses this pie dish in the future and doesn't have the time to find a measuring tape mid-preparation.
Also, many thanks to the Amazon staff who carefully wrapped it for shipping and the speed at which it arrived at my door. It was just in time for making a rhubarb pie using the gift of stalks from a friend's garden!
