If you’ve read the synopsis, you know that Emma has moved after the devastating loss of her twin sister. Emma and her twin Hannah had a best friend named Molly growing up. Emma looked different than her other siblings and Molly so held her looks up to the standards of her friends. They were willowy and delicate and Emma was curvy and sexy. Being in the shadows has left her feeling dumpy and not deserving of goodness.
She decides she needs a fresh start and moves away from home to begin anew. She changes her career path and begins to make a new life for herself. She keeps the death of her sister to herself.
Emma meets Connie and they become besties pretty quickly. Connie is always talking about her brother Rueben who is away travelling. Emma sees Rueben’s picture and is so attracted to his eyes that she instantly knows him when he walks into the shop. Aye Kurumba do they create heat. Their chemistry is amazing, their communication is often lacking and the way Emma’s confidence blossoms is so awesome to see.
The story of Emma is the one that hurt my heart the most in this series. The feelings this story brought out where very deep and guttural. I do not have a sister or a twin but I have lost very dear friends and can only imagine the profound change losing a sister/twin must be. The reason I gave this book 5 stars and the others only 4 is because of the feelings. The feelings just got me. I don’t know why they were so unexpected.
This series is becoming a little bit of an addiction for me. I’ve read all 4 books straight through and will now start on Connie – GOOOOOOOOO CONNIE!!!!
5 out of 5 stars
This story ends in a cliffhanger….
We continue this series with Emma and I just simply loved it. Ms. Lorraine did a fabulous job with her writing and characters and the story line was awesome. In this story Ms. Lorraine shows us the passion, angst, heart gripping scenes, true friendship, and an alpha player turned to a one woman man. It gave the reader a rollercoaster of emotions that leave your reeling.
Emma starts her new life in a new village with having the intention of a quiet life while concentrating on her writing. She doesn’t expect to meet Connie, the quirky café owner where she has spent so much time, will become her new best friend, and that her Connie’s brother will spark something inside her that she didn’t ever think could be uncovered.
Will Emma be able to overcome her fear of loss and her lack of self-confidence to be able to let him in or will she push away the only man that’s ever made her feel alive?
How do you get over losing a twin? Can a twin fill in the gaping whole they feel when you lose your twin?
Ruben has been traveling Australia for the past six months. He has spent his time enjoying the easy life style and the even easier women. After witnessing the pain of a broken heart Ruben made the decision that he was never going let a woman in, he was content with letting them warm his bed and nothing more. His sister sends him a picture of a girl with light blue eyes and a curvy body and he thinks she is gorgeous.
Can Ruben put aside his fear of losing himself in a woman and accept that his future isn’t what he thought he wanted?

This is the second full length novel from Tracy Lorraine but the fourth book I have read from Tracy Lorraine and I’ve got to honestly say that this was my all-time favourite of the series so far! It had me gripped from the first page and I couldn’t put it down. I seriously think Tracy Lorraine can’t get any better with her books and characters but she continues to prove me wrong book after book!
This book has it all, passion, angst, heart gripping scenes, true friendship, and an alpha man-player turned gentleman. It gave the reader a rollercoaster of emotions that leave your reeling. Out of all the characters in the Angel Series, Emma is most definitely the one character I have connected with on both an emotional, mental and physical level. I can see a lot of myself in her character and I’m so glad we get to read her story and get to understand her more, because we only got a small glimpse of her within Molly’s story.
I love that we still get our favourite other characters from previous books in this and that their stories continue and we get idea into how they are getting on.
I also love that Tracy writes these books in dual POVs, this has got to be my favourite writing style as I love to connect and find out the character’s emotions and feelings on an individual perspective rather than through what someone else thinks or feels.
I love that this book can be read as a stand-alone, or as part of the series but I most definitely suggest reading this whole series you will not be disappointed!
This characters in this book compared to previous ones to me feel a lot more real, and I can’t help but be drawn to these two and the secondary characters within this story.
I love Connie’s character and I think we have only just broke the surface of her and what is to come with her story, which I’m really looking forward to finding out!
Fin is your typical boys best friend, loves the girls and the drink but you know that when he finds the right person he will fall just as hard and fast for her as Ruben does for Emma. My only problem with Fin is that I was hoping he could be a bit more supportive of Ruben and his feeling towards Emma, as he was always turning things into a joke and not taking what Ruben was going through all that serious. But I can’t wait to find out more about him too.
Now Ruben….!!!! He most defiantly gives Ryan and Jax a run for their money! Who doesn’t love a player turned good by the love of a good women who especially has amazing curves! He really does turn into a complete gentleman and I love how he makes Emma feel throughout this book, there may be times of heartache but overall the way he treats her, and constantly tells her good things about herself makes him so sweet and caring you can’t help but want him! He makes the top of my book boyfriend list of 2016!
I love seeing Emma in various different situations in this book, and how she slowly allows Ruben to break down her walls! It’s amazing to see how reserved and closed off she was at the start of the book or even when she was mentioned in Molly’s book compared to how the love and attention Ruben showed her, helped her in so many more ways than I think Ruben or Emma herself realise!
This is an incredible series and I cannot wait to see what else Tracy can bring us with Book 2.5 featuring Connie and Fin’s story. I hope this isn’t the last we hear of Ruben and Emma though I hope we get a Part 2
Seriously do not miss out on this incredible passion filled Series from Tracy Lorraine!
