Will be sure to read the rest of this series to see what happens. Ms. McKay definitely writes well!
Emma is a strong willed, beautiful young lady, the daughter of an English Marquess, she is the youngest of 4 siblings, being raised by her brother Samuel while her father is away on business.
Leo is the handsome, strong, yummy man who falls in love with Emma- the only problem- he is a servant in their household. And the love (and bed!) they share is a huge no-no!
So is the wonderfully delicious bare bottom spanking Leo gives her after she gets herself sick.
Leo is a wonderful man, strong, capable, willing to warm her bottom to keep her out of trouble.
Unfortunately, Emma’s brother and father plan her to wed a noble man.
Until they find out about their little indiscretion.
Leo and Emma are pushed into a quick marriage and for her propriety’s sake, told to move to America, where they live outside the Ton’s harsh judgment.
Their love grows throughout the story, even with the miscommunications and setbacks. And Leo proves more than capable to take Emma in hand.
I adored Emma’s other brother, Wesley. A handsome, devilishly charming, “cares naught about rules” man, claimed to be sleeping with another Lord’s wife. He even gives Emma alcohol! I loved this secondary character, and hope that he will get his own story soon.
I will go on the record saying, I loved everything about this story, and think this is Ms. McKay’s best writing yet.
If you like a sweet romance, with a fun plot, lots of great spankings, and strong characters that can hold their own in any situation, this book is for you.
Score one to Emmaline, she gets her man, but she pays the price with her behind. And continues to do so as they settle into their married life and Emmaline continues to get herself into scraps. Luke is equally as likeable and although there are plenty of spankings, they're not without good cause! A really great couple, with lots of fun written in that wonderful engaging style Ms McKay always exhibits. This book upped the ante in terms of heat rating for the writer and it was an all round winner for me. It made me laugh at times, made me hot at times and kept me entertained throughout. I will definitely be back for the next in the series, the hook was cleverly executed in this one.
