A must buy. Burr is on point the whole time. You'll laugh until it hurts.I passed it around to a bunch of my co-workers and they all came by my office later to tell me how much they loved it. Everyone was reciting parts of the routine for weeks.

You either like Bill Burr's angry man persona or you don't. I'd give this five stars but it seems like it was recorded at a small comedy venue and I could sometimes hear the cash register or the dishes rattling in the background. Seriously? Other than the quality sometimes being a bit sub par this is some funny stuff. Can't wait to see him live.

This is an audio CD of Comedian Bill Burr's older works Emotionally Unavailable: Expanded Edition. It's a shame that there is no video to accompany it, but if you like Bill Burr's rants on life, you will like this CD!

Hopefully 2012 will bring a new DVD release from Bill Burr. Until then "GFYS"*. *You will have to become a Bill Burr fan to know what that means!

while there are plenty of laughs here, at times you can tell that bill is still cutting his teeth. it's obvious when you hear the "bonus" tracks near the end of the album, which were recorded a few years later....there, he sounds more in control, and unlike some of the earlier material, the F-bombs are more on point & less "crutch-y", if that makes sense. it's still worth owning, since you're not gonna hear this material in any of his current sets. if you're a fan of bill burr's DVDs or stand-up bits from TV, this might be slightly below the mark by comparison, but you'll still bust your gut a good amount & get your money's worth. if this album is your first exposure to burr, you'll probably like it....but hang on for a helluva ride down the road, 'cuz this guy absolutely catches on FIRE in the years to come.

I always appreciate when a comedian can tailor his material to each town, or better yet write new stuff. It ain't easy, but when it works it shows real talent. Burr opens this Philly set with a couple very nice bits about their subways and their food, and the bits are truly funny, with that freshness that only new material can bring.

Burr comes off as a very likable fellow, his delivery is relaxed, and he's got lots of very good lines and ideas here, but the highlight has got to be his dealing with hecklers at the end of Grandma. Without doubt this is one of the best examples on record of how to cope with idiots and yet keep the crowd on your side. Burr is completely on his toes and gets in some really sweet ad lib stuff; pretty classic.

All in all, this is an excellent routine that makes me laugh every time I hear it, no mean feat for a comedy cd.

This is a great Album. I really enjoy his Monday Morning podcasts and I decided to get his stand up. If you are a fan of his podcast then you will definitely enjoy this one! One of my favorite tracks is when Bill Burr is really quick on his feet when a couple of hecklers start to bother him.

I love this album! One of the first full length comedy albums I ever bought and wow it's a knock out. I first heard bill burrs Let It Go stand up special and when I delved deeper I found this, his very first special. If you want to understand why this guy is becoming/has become the next great comedian listen to the track "grandma comes to town". You will hear him literally blow the whole place up, it's an amazing moment I'm so glad was captured on tape. Anyways, just buy the album.

Bill Burr delivers one of the best stand-up routines I have ever heard! This performance in Philadelphia is culturally accurate, intelligent, insightful, brash, honest and of course tremendously funny! From women's lib to the ridiculousness of the political correctness movement to solutions to the so-called war on terror, Burr will have you laughing almost non-stop. He is clearly one of the best and least known comedians around. If I had to criticize one thing it would be that he left out his material on why he can't have black friends. If there were a dvd of a performance of his, I would buy it immediately! Does anyone know when he'll be in DC?
