A week in New York was a fantastic beginning to what promised to be an amazing story! Great characters, wonderful storyline, and hot steamy sex...what could be better?! Not a damn thing!

A wonderful addition to the Empire State Trilogy! The storyline and character development in this installment added to the already great story. A few new characters were introduced as Evan's family. Evan and his sister have an awesome silly and playful relationship and yet still have those times of worry for one another. It adds to the already "perfect" feel of Evan as man. Anna is a bit more confusing. Her feelings are all over the place. I hope Evan and Anna can come together in an epic way in the final installment.

New Year in Manhattan was a fantastic ending to this story! Everything I love in a Happily Ever After was all present and accounted for. I wish there were more books to this series filled with more of Ethan and Anna's journey in life together!

Anna has come with her friend to New York for a mini vacation. Off a recent breakup, she wants nothing to do with men. While out she meets a hot guy, Ethan, and they decide to hookup while she is in New York. No promises.
Ethan has rules in place and doesn't do relationships. Only Anna has made him change his rules and mind.
She returns back to London, with him only knowing her first name. He shows up in London and his company is taking over hers. He is shocked to see her. They realize that they both have missed the other.
This was a great set of books depicting a long distance relationship between two relationship challenged people. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 was that Anna was a little too insecure and second guessing at times. Otherwise a marvelous read.

This serial series is fan-freaking-tastic. No bull***t.

Anna and Ethan are two lawyers who negotiate their way into your heart. Funny thing is that while they do it, neither of them know what the other does for a living. And that’s a good thing, because I promise you that reading about lawyering would be boring – and reading about these two is anything BUT boring. Anna and Ethan heat up the pages until they burst into flames.

I’m not being biased because it’s about lawyers, I swear (although I am curious how they stay awake all day after the nightly romps. I NEED THE SECRET) but this series is really great. Anna does her fair share of work on Ethan’s briefs, and the way she works it, she’ll soon make partner. (god, MY PUNS WON’T QUIT). Basically, there’s a hella lot of sex in this book – and these scenes are written well! Get it, girl.

It was just supposed to be a one night stand. Anna was looking for an escape from her loser (and crazy) ex boyfriend who she left in London and, well, Ethan only ever does one night stands. Anna creates rules – no real names, no personal information…only sex. Ethan’s more than agreeable as those are usually HIS lines. And that works, until it doesn’t.

Quickly Ethan is the one who breaks his rules. He starts to blur those lines and then straight out crosses them. The journey between these two may span an ocean and two continents, but it’s so much bigger than that. You could feel their love, desire and (at times) disappointment sweep through you. The straightforward dialogue was incredibly refreshing….and so were the texts & phone calls. YES YES YES.

This story needs to be shared, read, and worshipped. Ethan’s a dirty talker AND sweet talker. Both Anna and I both ate it right up. They start their relationship on shaky ground – Anna because she’s never felt like this before and is afraid to get attached….and Ethan because not only has he never felt this way before but he’s also never had a relationship before. And they each try to find their footing. They try to live in the moment as much as they can and worry about the future later…which is great, until the future stares them in the face.

As Anna & Ethan navigate these uncharted waters and the distance that grows between them, can they learn to open up & begin to really live….together? You want to know, trust me – you do.

This story is the perfect mix of dirty, sweet and sexy. Must read series!!

Let me preface by saying this the first time I've read anything by this author. I'm glad I came across this book, as it was a good place to start.

The story is told from a dual P.O.V. The conversational style of writing was very entertaining. I laughed often as I did not mind being inside of the character's heads. The internal dialogue was just as amusing as the two character's sexy banter with one another.

The plot is simple -
Two people meet at a night club. Our Hero is a native New Yorker. Our Heroine is from the UK on vacation for one week in The Big Apple. She's going through a dry spell after a breaker-up and he's not interested in the complications of a committed relationship. He's handsome and successful and she's a beautiful professional working her way up the corporate ladder in London Town.
Finding one another attractive - They hook up for a one-night-stand. -VERY PLAUSABLE-

This is no instantly in love scenario. The author allows these two people to develop a relationship. The romance drifts seamlessly from the pages as they do eventually Fall-In-Love.

The conflict -
The distance of 3000 miles. They live on two different continents.
The author didn't use angst and forced stupidity to weave this story into the colorful tapestry that it is (I hate those). There is no underdeveloped over the top irrational story line. The reader will easily enjoy the simplicity. It was refreshing, as there biggest issue was distance.
Read for yourself and find out if these two can work through their self-inflicted, NO BULLSH!! rules, and overcome distance and time zones.

For a relationship that was meant to be based on communication and no BS, there certainly was a lot of miscommunication between the H and h. But that's what makes the happily ever after even better.

I loved the storyline, the banter between the two characters, the definite sexual chemistry, and the destiny styled plot.

I would highly recommend ready this novel (if you don't like cliffhangers, buy the box set, as each book ends in a huge cliffhanger).

A well written book (s) made me laugh, made me sad! Glad we got to hear more of Ethan's POV's don't get that often enough in books.
