"Essential information for parents-to-be, and ANYONE who unexpectedly has to deliver a baby." Randall M. Webb, M.D., OB/GYN, specialty high-risk deliveriesReviewed by Katelyn Hensel for Readers' FavoriteAfter months of preparation and planning for your newborn baby, it could be scary to see it's coming fast if you don't know how to help baby arrive safely. En Route Baby is a crash course in what to do when the ultimate in unexpected occurs and you end up delivering far from a hospital or trained midwife. Jennifer Slater takes us through her personal experience of a fast delivery as well as detailing basic medical procedures that you or a passenger can do to help ensure a safe childbirth if you end up delivering before help is available.
Review by Kathleen Kline, mother of three, writer and editor.
I really liked the flow of this book. The ease of the delivery of helpful information is almost like a couple of girlfriends sitting in the same room chatting. It's a book I would have wanted to read before my first child was born. I would have panicked had I not known these few steps.
I enjoyed the sprinkle of humor as well as the quotes, they made me smile and even laugh out loud. And "refunds" - never would have thought of it!
There is casualness to the delivery of very important information throughout. Bravo.
