Or for the life-cycle of an insect, (egg, larva, pupa, adult) wouldn't you expect the audio to pronounce each phase? But no, it says stuff like, "this phase lasts 2 weeks."
The three books in this set are "stiff" softback, and the pages themselves seem pretty strong, but the glue in the binding has dried up and pages are falling out after just a few days of use since the books doesn't lay flay, you have the instinct to press down to keep it open.
Strong points about the books are the large colorful pictures and photographs and engaging graphic design/layout. Each double-page spread is pretty much a stand-alone module which engages a child for about 5-10 minutes.
