This book is absolutely amazing. Its explanation of each term is thorough enough for even beginners to truly understand it, yet concise enough to make it an efficient way to learn the lingo of Operations Management. The best part of this encyclopedia is that each term has recommendations for other terms relating to it to read which then help the reader understand the term better. This way, readers are guided through the topics. I highly recommend it to anyone beginning to study Operations Management as well as professionals in the workplace who need a refresher or a reference for theories and putting words to their processes.

In many ways, a book that proves how the rubber hits the road, in spite of management directives and all of the rest of the technical
"changes" that many occur in business. It also aptly demonstrates hoe change does not occur and why systems of operation are often stronger than any changes that mgmt wishes to put into play.

FYI: My speciality is TOC in software development.

I read the TOC related material and it was well written and correct. I also wandered around the rest of the book and I enjoyed it. So, based on my background, I recommend it.
