My favorite quote:
"The horrific thing about having everything you wanted is the constant fear that it would all disappear."
Alessandra Torre's Innocence trilogy includes the following installments as of December 2016:
#1.5-The Diary of Brad De Luca
#3-End of the Innocence
However, I love this author and love her writing talent. I just wished they would have realized they only wanted each other in the bedroom. I am trying to be open minded I do know "different strokes for different folks". It's their love story. I guess I just somewhat put myself in the main girls shoes and feel her feelings but in this case I just didn't really feel that way.
The mofia storyline was good and she writes so well that even if I don't like some of the story she makes these characters believable, she writes with a perfect amount of dialogue and description.
Alessandra Torre delivers a spectacular series with these three stories and although the focus of EOTI strays from the sensual side of their coupling to new twists & turns, when we get the sex we get the toe curling kind. There was pure beauty in the way some of these scenes were written. When Julia and Brad came together, the sex wasn't just sex. It was an joining of two souls, well on some occasions, two souls and a stranger.
This is one of those authors that when you pick up that first book you instantly buy everything else they've written. As you start to read through the books you then question why it took you so long to read it. When I started this book, I knew I was going to enjoy it. I did not expect that I'd want to drag out the experience of reading it though. I was not ready for it to be over with and found myself slowly consuming every word in the hopes of prolonging the experience.
We are given a link to a bonus chapter that expands the epilogue a bit which was a nice bonus, but I truly loved how this story concluded. The final few lines of this book gave us a glimpse into Brad De Luca, the man that we couldn't help but fall in love with but a man that gave off red flags at every turn. These last few lines not only brought the story to its end but gave us the certainty of just what kind of a man he is.
The final book in the series for Brad and Julia as they prepare for their wedding and life together. This book had everything that I needed to keep me excited and engaged. Brad, hot and dominate, Julia, funny and feisty(kicked up a notch), Martha, friends, foes, strippers, action/drama, hot sex, sexual partners, you name it...it was there! I could not put it down!!
There was some drama that happened and I was left guessing who did it for a while. Upon reflecting back on the entire series, it was actually very clever writing because it was building on a possible list of suspects who could have done the deed.
Hats off to Alessandra Torre for telling a story that did not apologize for a couple being OK with threesome/sharing each other. I'm so sick of reading these type of stories where the author feels the need to make the hero change his sexual kink from sharing to being a one-woman-man! This series rocked because Julia had an open mind to exploring her sexual side and decided that she enjoyed the kink as much as Brad. They were together in every way. Another favorite about this couple was their communication. Brad knew something was wrong with Julia because they communicated very effectively with each other. Definitely going to my favorite couple book shelf!
Great series that I really enjoyed!!
