Many books about the end times consist of overly literal interpretations of scripture combined with complex time calculations. In contrast, Jesus clearly describes to Maria Valtorta what is meant in scripture. Jesus presents a clear sequence of three time periods explaining how two 3.5 year periods of tribulation are separated by a short period of peace.
The first period is the time of the Antichrist who is a high-ranking church official. Jesus terminates the reign of the Antichrist after 3.5 years. Separate writings by Vassula Ryden, "True Life in God," explain how the Warning ends the reign of the Antichrist and how it is followed by the Great Miracle, which is the Second Pentecost.
Many Christians unwittingly are describing the Second Pentecost when they speak of the Rapture. Nevertheless, Jesus' remarks to Valtorta, Ryden, and others do not indicate that large numbers of people will be assumed into heaven body and soul. Jesus indicates this is "wedding of the Holy Spirit" who takes root in the hearts of those who love God and their neighbor.
Jesus explains to Valtorta how the short period of peace follows the period of the Antichrist, and how true Christians will gather together. This information matches the writings of Ryden, where Jesus speaks about Unifying the Orthodox, Protestant, and Catholic churches when they decide to settle on one date to celebrate the Feast of Easter.
The short period of peace apparently does not last long because Jesus explains to Valtorta, "Once the Antichrist is beaten, the period of peace will come to give mankind..time to gather under My sign.Read more ›
