Plenty of reviews about how awesome Anamanaguchi is already. Do you like NES chiptunes? Then you like Anamanaguchi. That's all you need to know.
Physically, I opted for the vinyl release of Endless Fantasy, and it is awesome. The 2 LPs are a clear splattered pattern that really fits the album, and (although I'm no audiophile) it sounds as good as can be. There's only one fault that's bugged me until I figured out what happened. The track listing on the vinyl sleeve is incorrect. It lists "Prom Night" as track 9 and "Akira" as track 7 when those two should be reversed. The track order on Amazon is correct. Besides that one flaw (not a huge deal) I have to encourage you to go for the vinyl if you want a good physical piece of Anamanaguchi swag.

Anamanaguchi's 2013 offering "Endless Fantasy" was the soundtrack to my summer that year, and has been each year since. Every track on this album (and there are a whopping 22) is guaranteed to lift your mood and make you wanna dance. From the opening title track, to the poppy "Prom Night", to the drum & bass drop of "Bosozuko GF", there are no dull moments, just chiptune goodness from front to back. The interlude tracks are a welcome addition too, with an 8 bit version of Gymnopedie and some musical dog barks (right before a song called "Meow") being highlights. I was pleased that this album is still being sold in the rainbow splatter vinyl - it looks great and is a fitting palette of colors for a decidedly cheerful album. They appear to no longer stock this version on their official site, but the pressing being sold here on Amazon is the real deal. Get it while you still can!

Unlike previous albums from Anamanaguchi, this album had to grow on me a little. Not as concise and conceptual as previous releases I still found myself really liking this album. Previous albums seemed to tell a story but this one really felt like the band was fine tuning their craft. They never cease to amaze me with the many layers of sounds that they create to create a a pretty fun album. With 22 tracks you get more than your money's worth as they waste no space to fit on one CD. Highlights on the album for me are Endless Fantasy, Planet, Prom Night, Meow, and In the Basement.

I've been a fan of this band since I downloaded their first album/E.P. "Power Supply" for free off of 8bitpeoples.com. When I first heard it I didn't really know what to think but how catchy and ridiculous it was. It sounded like being sucked into my late-eighties and early-nineties childhood. Just super-happy and optimistic stuff, a far cry from the mundane and depressing stuff clogging up the airwaves and internet. I still love that album and everything they've done since then. This one also gives me that "Saturday morning late 80's nostalgia" vibe, and this album has 22 tracks of it. I haven't even broke this album in yet but I am very happy I bought this monster of an album for just 5 bucks. The song-writing is as potent as ever. Pretty much every track screams although there are some standouts. I would also like to mention that the production has never sounded this good. It is just smooth. The guitars, bass and drums mesh very well with the chips and other electronic sounds. And everything just sounds crystal clear, like pouring sweet sugar into your ears. It's interesting how their tunes are mostly instrumental (with a little vocal here and there) but still carry more emotion that most of the stuff I've heard out there. They're just freaking amazing. So, buy the album, grab some swim trunks, call your friends, go outside and blast this stuff while having a water-balloon war.

Fantastic album that sounds great on vinyl. Really liked the color used and the gatefold packaging is of high quality. The album while running a few songs too long is more rooted in a pop song that doesn't just feel like a video game soundtrack like previous albums. I enjoy their whole catalog and find this album to fall in line with their energetic sound just kicked up a few notches.

There is a moving quality to their music that didn't come out in Dawn Metropolis or Power Supply. I had liked Anamanaguchi before seeing them live, but a concert made me fall in love with them. People talk about the power of music to fill you with emotions--and it feels kind of silly to say this about a chiptune/pop band--but seeing Anamanaguchi live made me a believer. Endless Fantasy brings a lot of those same feelings back in a way that the other albums haven't.

I'm definitely a fan of and this album of theirs is really strong! I use it at work to perk up, bike riding or exercise. I can't help but listen and feel great inside. If you're a fan of Chip Tunes, definitely give this a try!

You can practically taste the influences that this chiptune electronic act produces through - and aside from the obvious retro game aesthetic there are hints of melodic pop punk and vaguely anime-theme-song-esque progressions, all through the lens of the 8 bit synthy wonders. A great listen from a fun-filled band.

Unbelievable. Not only is the album a 10/10 must-have for chiptune/electronic music fans, but Amazon *actually had a copy of the official record*!
After wanting this record for three years, and being disappointed by 'out-of-stock' notices, and $50 shipping costs, I am in awe that this arrived on my doorstep today.
Thank you!

Would have been perfect if the music files had metadata :o
but since it's wav format there's no metadata tags :(
ogg would be an alternative.
either way awesome purchase \0/
