Wonderful album, less than satisfying vinyl packaging
on July 28, 2011
I don't intend to review this album's music aside from assuring you of it's quality. This is a keeper.
That said, I really wish there was more to the actual vinyl packaging. I am not too much of an audiophile, thought I'm admittedly more of one that the average listener. The "sound" of music on vinyl is not the number one reason why I purchase music in this format. I like to buy vinyl because I love opening a new record and taking in the huge, high quality artwork, as well as the inserts, etc...
Unfortunately, Our Endless Numbered Days doesn't have any inserts, and the cardboard sleeve for the record is extremely thin and cheap. The record sleeve is a cheap, plain white paper sleeve with no artwork.
Maybe these complaints are a non-issue to most, which is why I wouldn't dare take off more than 1 start for them. But if you're as tactile of a person as I am, you'll want to take note.
