On June 8th, 2019, patriotic Americans will mark the 52nd anniversary of a day of infamy for our naval forces and for our country. The harsh realities of that day will never leave the crew, and can only be assuaged by service to and victory of truth and justice.

For on that day in 1967, during the Six-Day War, the Israeli military launched a deliberate, unprovoked, full-scale attack against the defenseless American Naval intelligence ship USS Liberty—with unmarked jet fighters, followed by Israeli Navy torpedo boats and Israeli Army boarding helicopters with commandos. The US ship was steaming in international waters on a cloudless day with flags unfurled and other identifying features fully visible.

Two hours of pure hell ensued: For 25 minutes a minimum of 12 Israeli jets from all directions struck the ship with 100s of 30 mm cannon and rocket rounds, dropped napalm canisters on the Liberty’s bridge, and jammed/destroyed five American emergency communications channels. Then from the PT boats six torpedoes were fired, one striking the Liberty starboard side leaving a 35-ft. diameter hole, killing dozens. The Israeli PTs machine-gunned stretcher bearers and others, as well as life rafts for survivors. Objective: annihilation of the ship and all crew.

Miraculously, heroically, Liberty survived: 34 dead, 174 wounded (of 294)… and the story of Israel’s premier war crime and top US official coverup and treason began...

…and has not yet ended. For 52 years, justice for the Liberty has been delayed, hence denied. The official story of “Israel mistook the Liberty’s identity, sorry.” has thwarted any investigation or prosecution of the aggressors, leaving the heroic victims hanging out to dry… BY THE COUNTRY THEY PROUDLY SERVED. The dishonor of their top brass and government has our Founders rolling in their graves.

In 2011, surviving Liberty veterans reached out to obtain the services of a sympathetic, accomplished screenwriter, Mr. Clint Burnette, to tell their story—in hope of seeing it take form with the enormous cultural impact of a feature film.

Mr. Burnette worked tirelessly with these good men over three years, interviewing in depth and great detail every aspect of the Israeli attack against the USS Liberty. Remember the USS Liberty!

Reading this script for me was a look up close of what I discovered over a decade ago, and that is that there are criminal "Zionist" wackos in our US government and elsewhere that work in tandem with the criminal "Zionist" wackos ruling Israel without regard to any rule of law.

How people let this ridiculous worse-than-apartheid psyop get so out of control is irrelevant. I agree with Prof. Michael Keefer who says the "war on terror" is a criminal fraud designed to scare people into accepting violations of international law.

We must expose the tactics of the Israeli government and other criminal so-called "Zionists" who either ignore this reality or try to vilify anyone who rightfully speaks out against criminal Zionism. We must now expose criminal Zionism for what it is and this truth we are given by these survivors of the USS Liberty massacre is an important part of that exposure.

They deserve our gratitude and memory. I want to see a movie celebrating their heroism. Enemies Within is a good foundation for such a movie.

History that needs to be known and remembered

Enemies Within relates the horrifying events surrounding the attack by Israel on the U.S. reconnaissance ship Liberty, in June, 1967. This is a critically important event that deserves far more notice than it has to date. The script, by Clint Burnette, is gripping, and is certainly worthy of treatment as a movie. Burnette must have had a difficult task in doing research on this event due to the fact that the history has been covered up and twisted for political purposes. The official narrative poses this as an unfortunate mistake- "friendly fire". Burnette exposes it for the ugly reality that it is- an intentional, vicious criminal act by Israel upon the U.S. In light of this, it should bring some light to other horrifying events- i.e. 9/11. The script is moving and will probably make you angry, both about the attacks in June 1967, and the injustices meted out to the surviving crew members of the Liberty by our very own military and political leaders. It is amazing that the ship was not sunk, and that any of the crew survived at all. It is a tribute to the crew, officers and captain of the Liberty that the fires were contained, and the damage controlled enough to keep the vessel afloat. The events that happened in June, 1967 are relevant to this day, and the real story surrounding the attack on the U.S.S. Liberty deserves to be seen and fully understood by the world.

Riveting!

I've just read Enemies within and I am ready to read it again! The more I got into this book the more I wanted to know. I've been following the USS Liberty for approximately 24 years and never imagined that I'd be reading something as chilling and riveting as this! So realistic that I was in tears, feeling as if I was there, terrified and slammed into a wall. I did not want this to end~I want more! I want to read more, know more and see more in FILM! A blockbuster film!!

As one of the men being portrayed in this screen play, I am just beside myself as I read this once again. Clint Burnett has the ability to bring people back to life that I once knew, and of course he is not God, but his ability to take me back to the truth, and the people who were involved, borders on being uncanny. I lived that life that Clint has portrayed, and was subjected to things most people have never had to experience, one of those being my own government of that time, turning its' back on me. I was the Petty Officer in Charge of the body recovery after the attack, and the horror was so tremendous, that my doctor told me that my brain would not record it. I had asked her why I couldn't remember the specifics, but could only remember that I had done it. I am the Chaplain for the USS Liberty Veterans Association, and if I could only convince those of you to pick a copy of this up, and realize how close this nation is to being lost forever, then maybe we could turn this once great country around, with the truth. It is my personal opinion, that the USS Liberty was kept afloat by Divine Intervention, and there is no other way we could possibly be here. Yes my review is short, and concise, but I ask the reader to hear me, to listen to the voice of someone who was there. When this gets to the screen, you will understand what I am saying.

I decided to add this, as I feel it to be appropriate. The next time Veterans Day rolls around, or the Fourth of July, or Memorial Day, and if you happen to be at a service that commemorates those men and women who gave their all, do me a small favor. Listen intently on that day, be aware of what this day is all about. You might still hear the cries of those men of the USS Liberty. Those ladies and gentlemen, are cries for justice, they can be heard, if you listen.
