A close friend recommended this book to me. I ordered it thinking it would be a book to just skim and think about. It is far more than that. With potent quotes, applicable scriptures, and readibility, this book is perfect for anyone who needs a 'pick me up' in life or to give to someone you know who is having difficulties in life. It has changed me, I now give it as a gift and people love it!

I've read all of John Mason's books. This book, as well as Conquering An Enemy Called Average, You're Born An Original Don't Die a Copy, and Let Go of Whatever Makes You Stop, have had a dramatic impact on my life. The Lord has used Mr. Mason in a powerful way. If you want to move forward in life and begin or continue to accomplish what you're called to do... Mr. Mason's four books will propel you to the next level.

The book is laid out in nice, easy to digest nuggets with scripture references. Mr. Mason's emphasis on God's will for us to be unique is a nice touch. Overall, anyone who has ever wrestled with low self-esteem, lack of confidence or faith, will benefit greatly from the book.

Next to the Bible, "An Enemy Called Average" is my favorite book of all time! I keep it in my briefcase to refer to it. I've read it at least 15 times and learn something new and motivating each time. John L. Mason outdid himself with this one! It is da bomb! If you read this book, take heed, and it doesn't make a significant difference in your life...then something is wrong! I've told anyone who would listen about it. Peace & Happy Reading... Rock On! This book gives a lot of Scripture-based advice which is the best type in my opinion. This book is similar to a Zig Ziglar written book. I would recommend it for people to read and to give as a gift to their children and/or friends.

Really good book. Mason does a great job of explaining why it's VERY preferable to not accept average or the status quo. Especially if you already THINK you aren't accepting average or the status quo. You may be assuming too much if you think you aren't accepting average.

Great book. I love how short and easy each nugget is to consume. Many self-help books take forever to get to the point. This one quickly gives you a great nugget to savor and moves on to focus on the next one.

Well-written, concise, and most importantly, rings with the Spirit of Truth. Questions and doubts that have bugged me for years--and kept me immobilized--have been answered by John Mason's teaching of Scripture. Simply a great book. Holy Spirit inspired. I can't believe I haven't come across this man before. God bless him.
