I purchased an Enermax Aquafusion 120 AIO for a Ryzen build I put together. Compared to other coolers I liked its aesthetic the best. I wanted to purchase a fan to match the included (and unique) Squa RGB fan that came with the cooler, so I found the one (and only) 120MM Squa RGB fan sold, and ordered it without looking at the specs. They wouldn't sell an identical fan of lower/differing quality, right? I could just order another one if the cooler worked for my use, right?
Received my fan, and installed it. Instantly regretted the whole situation. The fan is completely different in it's primary operation... a fan. The max speed is 1500, which is not the same as the AIO-included 2000 RPM fan. The sound coming off the fan is MUCH different at the same speed as the one included with the AIO. Ramping up to this fan's max of 1500 RPM sounds like a jet engine compared to the hushed tones of the 2000 RPM fan of the same name.
Doing research post-purchase they don't sell a matching fan for the AIO-included fan. The closest you can get is this one, where it looks the same, but is very much a different fan all together. Since this case is enclosed in glass RGB lighting is a core component I'm now faced with a dilemma:
1) Do I purchase 2 new matching fans now of a different brand so they can both look and sound the same? This will leave the base AIO in place.
2) If I leave things as they are what happens when the AIO fan dies? I can't buy a direct replacement for the included fan. The resulting purchase will change the visual aesthetic requiring the purchase of a second fan at that time.
3) While I have time, do I return both the AIO and the second fan, and purchase something completely different?
I'll run with it for a couple weeks before my return window ends. See if the harmonics of the dueling fan sounds aren't too bad, and go from there. Just wanted to make sure if someone else was doing this type of build that they have this research already done for them.

I also managed to find a set of adapter cables to hook these up to spare Corsair lighting node pro hubs, which means that similar lighting effects can be created with iCue software instead of the included controller. They also seemed to work fine with Asus' Armoury Crate, I just don't find their software as appealing.
I've had the fans running for about a month and they seem quieter than the Corsairs I had at both low and high speeds. Absolutely no issues so far. They seem easy to clean and lube if they need it in the future as some users have experienced noise increase due to dust or grit over time. If Enermax keeps this level of quality I'd have no problem buying their products again! Great value for the price.
