Then, right around Use Five, the pan, completely of its own volition, becomes OPPOSITE Todd English Hard Anodized by GreenPan (OTEHAGP) pan. Just like that, everything sticks, and sticks to such an extreme that soaking and scrubbing will not remove the residue. It's quite a stunning turn-around from your first few experiences. In fact, it's so stunning that it will probably take you several weeks to move through the Stages of WTH regarding your OTEHAGP pan. Stage One: astonishment ("But it was SO AMAZING the first few times I used it! This can't be happening!"). Stage Two: befuddled inertia ("I must be cleaning it wrong. I guess I'll just hang onto it and soak it a few more times. This can't be happening."). Stage Three: dawning realization that you have likely ingested whatever it was that made the pan so nonstick to begin with, and accompanying health concerns, since that substance is obviously no longer attached to the pan ("Oh, gawd, I wonder if I should see a doctor. Maybe a juice cleanse? This can't be happening.").
I'm happy to say that I have finally moved to Stage Four: deciding whether or not to inflict this pan on the kind folks at Goodwill. It feels good to be in a place where I'm finally able to let go.
Todd English, I doubt you've ever used the cookware and you should be ashamed to put your name on them. If you had, I bet your set would be in the garbage along with the rest of ours.
1) the fry pans suck at non-stick especially with scrambled eggs, the eggs stick like no tomorrow! Horrible performance
2) The fry pan & sauce pot handles fill with water when washed, and upon hanging them on the overhead rack leak water all over the place- a terrible engineering design
3) the oval fry pan seemed like a good idea on TV, but the reality is there is no burner that it will fully fit onto; and despite the claims it does not heat the outer edges to the same degree as the center. Plus, there is no lid for it.
We still have the set but would never buy anything with Todd English's name on it again.
After just 5 uses, this pan has grease marks that just won't come off no matter what. -Even after using oven cleaner, could not scrub the grease mark off. The pan also developed a gouge just from stacking with other pans in the cabinet. I have only used this pan 5 times in 6 months.
Waste of money. I do NOT recommend.
