About the Author
Born in France in 1957 and raised in the mountains of Colorado and Montana, David's curiosity about the world was piqued at a young age. He attended the University of Montana where his studies in oriental culture and philosophy led him to a job teaching English in Taiwan. In 1976, David left the United States on what would become a six-year research and adventure odyssey. During this time, he studied first-hand the ancient civilizations of Africa, the Middle East and China, sometimes journeying into dangerous territory along the way (like Uganda during the overthrow of Idi Amin).
After more than 40 years of investigating these arcane subjects, David finds his unique views and ideas gaining popularity. He is currently a co-star on the History Channel show Ancient Aliens. This popular show is now in its eleventh season and David journeys to Peru, Bolivia and Mexico for episodes of the show. He has appeared on Fox-TV's Sightings and Encounters, two NBC-TV specials, The Conspiracy Zone, and segments for the Discovery Channel, A&E, the Sci-Fi Channel, the Disney Channel, The Travel Channel and others. David also appeared on the Canadian television show Weird or What?, hosted by William Shatner, in its 2011-2012 season. He is also a frequent guest on nationally syndicated radio shows. He continues to explore, write and excite people about discovery through his magazine, World Explorer, and his publishing company, Adventures Unlimited Press. When not traveling, he divides his time between his homes in Illinois and Arizona. He has bookstores open to the public in both locations.
Brien was born in Canada and has lived all over the world. He has a degree in anthropology and currently lives in Peru.

About the author

Brien Foerster was raised on the west coast of Canada, where he developed a fascination, early on, of the Native people, their art, and oral traditions. This led to his becoming a professional sculptor, after graduating with an honours BSc degree from the University Of Victoria.
Several totem poles, wooden canoes, masks and other works now grace private collections around the world.
At the age of 35 he moved to Maui, Hawaii, and assisted, as deputy project manager, in the construction of a 62 foot long traditional sailing catamaran. After this he returned to Canada and his art.
Four years ago he made his first trip to Peru. Falling in love with its rich Native traditions, and a Peruvian resident, caused him to want to write about what he was learning. The effort has resulted in this book, so far.

He may not even know it yet but you'll be reading more about this connection of the Mitanni down the road, how they trace back to Vedic traditions and even their writings being older than Egyptian all will eventually be the tie in that scholars have been looking for to understand how cranial deformation traveled the globe through these Indo European speaking Arayan tribes. It is through this tribe that trained their woman to be warriors and who provided brides to the royals and high priest class of Egypt called the Mitanni that we will find the answers for how feet binding, tatooing, scarring for intimidation and neck stretching, ear stretching, and cranial deformation all made its way around the globe as they traveled with the seafaring Hittites carrying these things with them as they contacted other peoples. This brought cranial deformation to South America and more and answers why you can take a Olmec helmet and stick it on top of any old Hawaiian Native and have your Olmec Chieftan in real life standing right in front of you and David covers quite a bit of this in the chapter covering Nefertiti and Tiye who was her aunt and both of them were warrior princesses from the Mitanni tribes explaining why Nefertiti and King Tut, Akenaton and more were cone heads!
Its a very exciting book. The only problem with this book is that its too short and I read it too fast and now want more! Quickly David now! Write another, bigger! Think bigger! :-)

UPDATE: February 2014 - Recent DNA analysis has shown that DNA from these skulls is unlike anything yet discovered and may not be human, as we know it. These skulls may turn out to be one of the most important discoveries ever made.

However, one has to wonder why the original real reason for this practice has been studiously omitted..
That being, the enlargement of brain capacity, particularly around the '3rd eye' region (the Pineal gland area, incorporating the Pituary & Thalmus)..this area is known as the 'conduit' by those initiated into this sort of thing..(its said popes have active conduits)..
This is why the Egyptians wore crowns with serpents coming out of the front, the 'Uraeus'..and why the 'Eye of Horus' is an actual literal representation of this area of the brain,if the brain is sliced in half properly you can see this for yourself, its a fact.
Yet its not mentioned in this book..which is hugely disappointing...but as i said, still an essential purchase
