The material is a lot rougher than I expected. Definitely not as comfortable as the two waffle-knit Faded Glory shirts that I have. It is pretty warm, but I would wear it over a softer long sleeve.
I am 5'11", 165 lbs, with a 40in chest and 36in waist. I'm a naturally slim dude and in most shirts I wear a medium. This gives me a comfortable amount of room and sleeve length. This medium fits like a small. It's tight in the cuffs and throughout the core of the shirt. This, and the shirt is kind of weirdly long.
I still give this shirt 3 stars. It is warm, especially with a soft undershirt. I can stretch it out after washing to get the looser feel that I was looking for. The sleeves are the correct length and do not ride up as i move around. Aside from my complaints, it seems like a durable and well made shirt. The color isn't as dark as the picture, but it's not bad and did not fade after washing. Overall, it's not a bad shirt. I wouldn't buy it again, but I can make it work. I do wish that I hadn't spent so much money on it though.
find in a single layer thermal - thick, warm and great to wear without any kind of over clothes.
I need something to work in the shop and jackets/sweaters are too bulky or inhibit my hands,
these are all I need, are very comfortable and I don't have to change when I leave the shop.
Even better they're American made, high quality - I bought them in all colors.
