This kit includes the (4) traditional polishing compounds used to cut, remove scratches, and finish metals to a brilliant, high luster.
Includes: Black Emery, Brown Tripoli, White Diamond, and Red Jeweler’s Rouge (from Coarse to Fine).
Weight: 4 Oz. each | Size: 1 lb. (4 ⅞” x 1 ⅛” x ⅞”) each | Coarse to Fine | Made in U.S.A. | All polishing compounds are manufactured and packaged in U.S. facilities and have been stored in a cool and dry location for no more than 1 month.
Great for cutting, cleaning, restoring and polishing aluminum, brass, copper, gold, nickel, pewter, silver, rubber, horn, and wood. Can also be used for iron, platinum, steel, stainless steel, chrome, plastic, and more.
Applied on buffing wheels. To apply, simply spin a buffing wheel on a motor or drill and gently press the compound to the wheel. The heat and friction of the spinning wheel will be enough to transfer a small amount of the compound onto the wheel for polishing.

Like most people, I only needed a little bit of polishing compound kit. Just enough to do some occasional chores.

This gave me the polishing compound that I needed in a size that was useful. The pieces are large enough to easily use. There well-made. They don't crumble. In the product is good.

The downside is that they come in a plastic package and there's no way to store the items when you're done. It would've been nice if they had put a little plastic or wooden case in their to keep the items clean and stored separately. I was end up shoving these items into a drawer and wish I had a simple case to put them back in to keep them from being damaged

This is not a review of the product itself as I just received these today. Amazon Prime delivery is spoiling me but that is not what this is about. I am disappointed in the packaging the product arrived in. The Amazon page displays a nice sealed container with a diagram on the back showing which bar of compound to use with which surface. Not what I got. I have the four bars of compound alright but they arrived is a zip lock baggie with a bar code on it. No nice container, no diagram to guide me as I start to use these. I had to go back to the Amazon page and screenshot the diagram and even that image was of such poor resolution that the finished picture is quite grainy and hard to read but will serve. If the polishing compound does not perform as well I will update this "review" and return for a refund.

Like some others have said.. there was no real packaging like in the picture. They just came in a zip lock bag and each one was shrink wrapped. Each one is about 4.5 inches long and almost 1 inch thick. These are really the only 4 types you will need to get up and running with most polishing materials. Great for Gold and Silver items. These should last an experienced, novice or beginner jeweler at least a year easily. If your running a commercial operation and your polishing items every single day.. You might want larger blocks.
