I really love Drew and this is why I hated the book. My rating does now reflect the writing of the author but my feelings only.
The story of Rachel, a woman hired to teach a wealthy man's son in his opulent home, became more than just a simple tale to tell. She fell for not just the wealthy man, Drew, but also his brother Alex. Two men who couldn't be more different if they tried. Yet the one thing they had in common was their love of Rachel.
When Enraptured starts, Rachel is now married to Drew after a first broken engagement and her subsequent love affair with Alex. She is pregnant with Drew's child, a result of one regretful drunken night, and is determined to have the family she both craves and needs.
Throughout this series, I was always on Jonathan's team. He is the 11 year old son of Drew Fullerton, who needed a tutor. The reason Rachel became involved with this family at all. As this last book evolves, I find that my decision to remain steadfast in my team choice was a good one. But what I didn't expect to happen was to become firmly Team Fullerton when that last line was read.
Ginger Voight manages to bring this storyline full circle. She delves into the souls of each of her characters and draws out the very best they can offer. I fell hook line and sinker for every single member of the very vivacious and spirited Fullerton household.
What she had in store for this family was very unexpected. And for as many tears that I shed, I had even more smiles. The beautiful way the author weaves the story together so that you truly experience every emotion as it is happening is true perfection.Read more ›
This was the best and the worst trilogy I've read to date. Best because it intrigued me on to each page. Worst because the story was pure soap opera. And, the ending drove me over the edge to emotional sobbing. I never read this type of story. But, I was hooked from page one because it was delightfully different from what I usually read. If I knew I would be crying at the end I probably would not have read the series.
The Heroine. Can you be in love with two men? The twists and turns in the story kept me in anticipation to who would be the man in the heroines’ HEA. I will say for most of the story I didn't care for this heroines character, I thought she was an idiot. She could psychoanalyze everyone but herself.
The Heroes. I can't talk about the heroes because I'm still crying!
This author sure can write an epic story. And, she must have been a fan of soap operas. Because the title should have been Fullerton Family Soap Opera not Fullerton Family Saga.
The truth is I loved this author’s story until the very end. It had drama, suspense, love in all shapes and sizes, anticipation for the ending, who would finally get the girl. I kept thinking one of them would die, but which one? I thought I knew which one I wanted it to be. But, in the end I was afraid for both of them. The ending was emotional and suspenseful. I have never wept while reading, but I did with this one, twice!
I loved and hated this story, and I believe it will take me days to get over the emotional sorrow of this read. Is that a fantastic read, or is it a bad read? WOW, is all I can say for this one! Surpassed anything I’ve read to date!
The blurb that was at the end of book two was the mere tip of the iceberg for the series ending. It was an ending full of big, ugly alligator tears filled with happiness and sorrow of what was lost and the what was to come. This series made it easily onto my favorites list.
The only reason I didn't give the series 5 stars was because there were numerous grammar errors throughout the series. They were small, but they stopped me enough to have to re-read the paragraph and/or sentence to understand what was meant. Words left out or words used in error. But it didn't break the story. And that's important.
I would definitely recommend this series to anyone. It has the angst, frustration, mystery, suspense, laughter, desire, romance and most of all love and understanding. The true meaning of love and understanding, that is.
