Trin and Thraceare the main characters and both are from worlds that have cut the opposite sexout of the picture. Trin's planet uses males, when they have to, as beasts ofburden and don't involve them in reproduction at all other than their donationof DNA. And there is speculation as to whether that is voluntary or not. Thrace is a notso distant relative of the Kindred known as the Havoc, and they refuse to bondwith females. Sounds like a match made in heaven, right???
Thrace was awesome and more honest withhimself than Trin was and it showed. He was resistant to his feelings butaccepted them for what they were and then embraced the suck because of Trin'sstubbornness. I can only imagine how he kept his course of faithful devotion inthe face of what she slung at him.
Ofcourse there is an epic event that requires the Goddess to shower herbenevolence and also cast a new task in the path of the Kindred. And that'swhat keeps this series so interesting and entertaining. I would recommend, butonly if you've read the previous books.
