The saga continues for Rachel Dennehy, the tenacious small-town teacher caught in between two compelling, powerful brothers.
****This is Book 2 in the series. Blurb may contain spoilers for Book 1.****
In Book 2 of the Fullerton Family Saga, teacher Rachel Dennehy heads back to California to save her favorite little boy from his rapid downward spiral. She feels responsible for Jonathan's destructive behavior, knowing it was her broken promise that sent him off the rails. She moves in with Alex, a man who had been her nemesis for so long. Thrust together with the shared goal of saving Jonathan, they find more in common than they had realized.
In fact, it is Alex who comes to her rescue Drew confronts Rachel over her “betrayal.” The chemistry still burns hot between them, but Rachel cannot forgive Drew’s cruel deception. Unfortunately he is unwilling to let her go. Drew Fullerton doesn't like to lose, especially to his younger brother. So he proceeds with his plan to win her back, using every trick in the book to force her hand, including his son.
Young Jonathan holds fast to his dream of a real family, which tears her in yet another direction. Her heart is torn between the three Fullertons, all of whom need her in very different ways. Someone is going to get hurt, no matter what she does. She struggles to do what is right, even when she finds it puts her at direct odds with what she wants.
How far must Rachel go to win back Jonathan’s trust, and protect the men she has grown to love?Read more ›
the way he lied to her and has no wish to be anywhere near him, however her feelings for Jonathan are stronger and she agrees to return. At first Jonathan is quite a handful to deal with, but he eventually comes around. As Rachel and Alex work to save Jonathan they discover that they too have feelings for each other and begin a secret love affair. This story has so many twists that at times I wanted to shake my kindle to see if any common sense would return to Rachel and Alex. The story will make you laugh and cry, but angst is what Ginger does best. Part of me is actually scared to pick up book three, but the other part of me can't wait to do so! When you read quite a bit you have those authors that you automatically purchase their books without even looking to see what it is about. Ginger Voight is one of those authors for me! Great Story!!!
Rachel has finally returned to help the Fullerton family who is now in crisis and Jonathan needs her more than ever. She knows that she knows that placing herself in this situation again will not be good for her. She comes to realize that this 10 year old boy needs her more than ever and she will stop at nothing to prove herself to him. She is thrust back into the awkward triangle involving Drew and Alex. It is a whole new ball game with these men. Rachel begins to see a side to Alex that she has never expected and It appears that Drew is still up to his controlling ways. I do see that both of these men have grown to love Rachel but they each have a different way of showing it. She is a beautiful, caring , woman who deserves more to life than she has received. Ginger takes us as the reader on an emotional journey. You begin to realize that Rachel loves both of these men and their distinguishing qualities in different ways. She is still infatuated with Drew and doesn't want to admit it and She begins to love the caring and tenderness of Alex. My heart ached for Rachel. I just want her to have the happiness that she so deserves but what price will that come at! The ending to this book has me questioning what team on may be on! I can't wait for the next book to see where Ginger will take us! ~~Michele McMullen~~

I realize this is a review of Book Two but I can't help but compare it to the first. The characters are no longer compelling enough to want to read the next installment. Read morePublished 17 months ago by Lori F.
