I read this reasonable book, here in Brazil. This book is short, has many illustrations , is printed in color and is very easy to read and understand.
The main problem of this book is, its lack of details.
I'll show you all of the table of contents of this regular book:
Page
Introduction 3
Acknowledgements 5
Torah 7
Menorah 11
Mezuzah 15
Skullcap 19
Prayer Shawl 23
Shofar 27
Shabbat 31
Havdalat 39
The three Pilgrimage
Festivals 43
Passover 45
Shavuot 51
Sukkot 54
Chanukah 57
Purim 65
Blessings 71
Tefilin 77
The Seven Species 81
The Breastplate 84
The Jewish Calendar 87

For begin, to learn about judaism, this book can be a better choice, but its lack of details make me give just three stars for this regular book.

The skinny on God's Holy Days (the feasts - His appointed days!), basic Jewish articles of faith and explains the, Lunar (moon-phase) Calendar, still used by God's chosen people today. An easy read with a lot of concise information - highly recommended!

Susan writes in clear definitions and descriptions and is always inclusive in her words. It was our special privilege to have her as our tour guide on a recent trip to Israel. Susan's writing comes from direct experience and a deep knowledge of the Jewish history. She has studied well and her words are filled with the passion she has to introduce others to our collective 'Jewish Roots'.

We own many books regarding the Festivals of the LORD, but this book is so informative and concise, we turn to it for quick reference each time a feast day approaches. We have also given this book as a gift to many other appreciative recipients!

this is a great book to start you on your journey in discovering your jewish roots as a christian. Remember paul the apostle wrote to the gentiles " dont be puffed up in pride your not the root, but you are grafted in," through Jesus you now have access to the promises of abraham. When you understand the old testemnet the new will come alive, the new and the old go hand in hand Jesus said " i have not come to destroy the law but to fullfill it." Torah means road to the blessings. By grace we are saved but the ten commandments are still in affect. they will not save you but they keep you saved, the commandments keep you in His blessings . Gods words are eternal, Jesus came to show us how to live it.
