"This is another beautifully written story, with a plot that is full of emotion and surprises. The characters have been crafted with the strength required to overcome their obstacles of social divide, and manage to achieve their HEA. The extended epilogue is used for great effect to bring their story's to completion. This is a great book for all those who love steamy historical romances that have plenty of twists and turns." - S.W., Amazon review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The h was so naive. Raised by nuns in a convent, she was educated, but ignorant of the physical side of a relationship between a man and woman ... she didn't even know it existed. Neither did she initially understands her reactions (physical or emotional) to the H.
The author intimates that the H is a rake. A man whose only interest in women is the pleasurable kind (though he is discreet), but has no interest in marriage. However, we get only one example of his rakeishness ... a quick encounter/scene while out riding, with not any real detail (No steam!)
While both the H and h seemed very young and naive in this story, both are very likeable. In truth, this story reads more like a YA, first love to me; but again, that probably has a lot to do with the romance novels I've most recently read. This one is a big change of pace. This story puts me in mind of the old Harlequin Regency romances I read in my younger years, the ones that really got me hooked on reading.
Other than the scene I mentioned above, there is very little explicit sex in this story. Other than kissing, there is only one scene involving oral (him on her) and one of the consumation after marriage), but both are short and not very explicit or detailed ... no steamy scenes. In short, if you prefer your romances cleaner (less steamy/less sex) with a decent storyline, not too much angst and sweet characters, I highly recommend this book.

There are mysteries! Yay! There are unexplained motivations in major characters! Yay! The plot line is well constructed to keep you off balance and keep you from totally being sure how things will turn out. Happily, the twists and turns in the plot eventually resolve into a HEA. I confidently recommend it for your Regency reading list. Disclosure: I read a free advance copy in return for an unbiased review.
The characters are sweet (except for one or two individuals). Grace is an amazing sister in spite of her objections to the Viscount's womanizing. She is protective of Hannah - but why??? She includes Hannah in almost everything that she does - but why?
The ending has sweet surprises, a ball, almost a fist fight, and a ring.
Wonderfully romantic, touching read!!! The characters are engaging and dig their ways into your heart!!!
