I devour these in a heartbeat.
To me Sara and Nate's relationship was pretty unique. I've read books where cheating was involved, but usually it comes from the cheated party's POV. This one is actually about the cheaters. Even though Sara and Nate knew that what they were doing was wrong, it was just too hard to stay away from each other even though Nate was married and had kids.
I think that usually when one or the other cheat is because they aren't happy in their relationship and they stray. But sometimes even when you least expect it and are happy in your relationship, it happens.
Sara and Nate touched my heart and I was brokenhearted because what they were doing was wrong, but their chemistry was just too strong and it was hard to stay away.
It's hard to just leave your family no matter what.
But the pull I got when reading this book was just so strong that I couldn't find it in me to put it down. I just had to finish it and I am so glad that I did because I enjoyed every minute and every second of this book.
Meghana Sarathy is a new author for me and she definitely has won me over and I plan on reading more from her.
I can't wait to continue reading more of Sara and Nate <3
I was totally okay with certain aspects of the story because, first off, it's a story from the author's heart and they are her characters that she's developed the way she wants. If every character was perfect, then who would enjoy that? Secondly, I like the bit of angst between Sara and Nate as they tried to figure out their next step in their relationship. I like the age gap too as this is somewhat of a struggle for a lot of people. Nate wasn't my favorite but his actions and behavior "fit" his character style in the story. Sara, on the other hand, was naive and had a lot to learn about life, but I loved that these two were put together. I love challenges and the author did a great job with them.
The ending was quite emotional and left me anticipating what could happen next which is I'm sure what the author was hoping to accomplish. I'd love to read some of her other works as I could easily connect with her writing. Great job and now I sit on pins and needles, waiting to see what happens next with these two.

I feel the writing itself was good, I just wasn’t sold on the plot. This being said, I feel I should add in the disclaimer that books with cheating are touchy with me and I think this one was done without much of a point. If feel that Nathan is a jerk with no regards to the feelings of anyone but himself. And Sara is very naive who put her trust in the wrong person.
I am intrigued enough to read some of her other books, so hopefully you realize that it is not the writing just the storyline I had issues with.
