Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews
Genre: Romance, Erotica
I hadn’t read book one but this sounded fun, and it was. Easy to follow even if like me you’ve not read the first book. The characters are connected but only as a group of friends, so each story stands alone.
Emma, she’s learned to protect herself, no good looking men on the horizon for her, she knows they’ll stray, can't be trusted, won’t bring a happy ever after. Then Tucker strays into her life. Right from the start there’s a sensuality between the pair and Tuckers patient, but when Emma keeps giving him hot and cold messages will his patience last?
Its a short read at just 122 pages, and something I'd not noticed. I'm not a fan of novellas but this was a fun and heated read. As an erotic book its definitely five stars, lots of heat, sensuality , and well written sex, but as a romance it was a bit lacking for me. That's really due to the brevity though, and one of the reasons I stay away from shorts. I Find they need to cram so much in that there’s not time to really develop relationships properly. Still, as always its horses for courses and if you’re looking for a quick hot read this one is perfect.
Stars: four, steamy short but a one off for me.

This book was short but enjoyable and very erotic from beginning to end. Emma doesn't trust good looking men and Tucker, well he's definitely good looking and he's always helping other people- but as far as Emma is concerned it's too good to be true.
Tucker has been attracted to Emma for quite some time and he wants more from her then sex, he's given her time and patience but he doesn't plan on giving up just yet.
This book was very erotic and had lots of steamy, scorching sex scenes. I liked Tucker's tenacity in pursuing Emma and his patience with Emma was commendable because I have to admit, she got on my nerves. Initially I assumed she acted the way she did towards Tucker, due to previous bad breakup as her behaviour was consistent to someone who was afraid to be hurt again. Not a bad read but I have to admit I liked Tucker and how his character developed but wasn't too keen on Emma.
Series: Summersville Secrets #2
Author: N.J. Walters
Genre: Romance, Erotic
Blurb: Damaged by betrayal . . .
Emma Howard learned the hard way that charming, good-looking men can’t be trusted, and she’s perfected the art of keeping her distance—until Tucker Martin moves into her apartment building. Their immediate physical attraction to one another is explosive, and she welcomes the opportunity to explore her newly awakened sexuality. But after a heated night of passion, Emma pulls away, unwilling to believe that a man who has everything she wants will want to stick around.
Driven by desire . . .
Tucker has wanted Emma since the first moment he laid eyes on her, and his need only grows more intense after they spend one amazing night together—until Emma goes from insatiable to unreachable. Bewildered but not broken, he’s determined to prove to her that he’s as sincere as he is sexy. And as Tucker patiently sets out to win the woman of his dreams, he knows Emma will have to face her past before they can indulge in the pleasures of a deeply loving future.
This is a fully revised edition of a book originally published as Heat Wave.
Thoughts: This was my first foray reading a N.J. Walters book that wasn’t a paranormal. The only books I have read from the author are her Salvation Pack series up until this point. I was surprised to find that I liked Enticing Emma as well as I did – frankly, I enjoyed it even more than the paranormal reads from her.
Enticing Emma gives you a naughty but sweet romance. It is a very short read, but Walters manage to sum everything up and still give you a connection to the characters and a storyline that is paced well and doesn’t leave you feeling like someone cut a few chapters out of a book. As a reader, you still come away from the book satisfied.
The perfect quick read!
