Entourage: The Complete First Season (DVD)
Your best friend's star is rising in Hollywood, and there's only one thing to do: join his entourage. Meet Eric, Turtle and Johnny Drama: three guys from Queens dedicated to helping their film-star buddy Vincent Chase navigate the absurdities of modern-day Hollywood--where sex, parties and super-agents rule the town.]]>
Entourage is everything viewers have come to expect from an HBO series: smart, hilarious, and highly addictive, especially when taken in full-season, DVD form. As implied in the title, the show follows Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier), a rising Hollywood star with bedroom eyes and an over-active libido, along with his three childhood companions-turned-hangers-on. Kevin Dillon plays Johnny Drama, Vincent's less-attractive, B-list actor of a brother (he is Matt Dillon's less-attractive, B-list actor of a brother in real life). Jerry Ferrara plays Turtle, the weasel, and Kevin Connolly appears as Eric, the Everyman hero who hopes to parlay his friendship with Vincent (plus two years of community college) into a career in talent management. Along the way Eric contends with the predictable self-doubt, romantic indecision, etc. The cast is rounded out by Jeremy Piven (Doug Hughley from Singles) as a foul-mouthed agent reminiscent of Jay Mohr's short-lived Peter Dragon character. Finally, it's produced by Marky Mark himself--and you've got to believe that guy knows something about the star-entourage relationship. If possible, watch with a friend so you'll have someone to quote lines back to later. --Leah Weathersby

I was amazed with how well written the series was, the rapid fire dialogue between the actors is fun to watch.
I really like the funny comebacks from Drama and Turtle as well as all the bantering between the main characters.
I still have to remind myself that these are actors, because the series seems real, like the actors really grew up together.
This is due to the great scripts and cast. I would love to see some of the out takes and deleted scenes because,
I am sure the cast had a great time making this series.
The scenes in season 2, between Ari and his new assistant Lloyd are outrageous, I wonder how many times
Jeremy Piven (Ari) apologized to Rex Lee (Lloyd) for the lines he had to deliver.
Looking forward to the rest of this outrageously funny series.
I have read that a Entourage movie sequel might be in the works, I sure hope so.
I love all the characters, but Drama is my least favorite. Watching it the second time around I realize just how much his character really bothers me. He annoys me enough that I'm doing everything possible to continue watching it. Thankfully most of his speaking parts are minimal, but in Season 6 where he takes a flying leap, not a simple jump, to the conclusion that Coakly (I think that's the correct spelling) is trying to get into Jamie's pants for no reason other than Coakly doesn't want Drama to join him and Jamie for lunch is ridiculous beyond belief.
This will likely be the last time I ever watch this show (and movie once I watch it) for that reason alone.
It's the ultimate guy's fantasy. The young main character makes it big in Hollywood and he's on the "A" list and brings all his buddies from Queens to live w him. They can go anywhere they want, say whatever they want, do whatever they want, and have plenty of money. It's a crack up to see what these kids do w the money and status and the mistakes they make. And let us not forget the most important thing...not only do they have all the money and status but everybody loves them and sucks up to them. A true fantasy show and it's great to watch...
