Adjoa and Kwame have been friends since they can remember. When Adjoa's parents give her an ultimatum - get married or lose her inheritance, what's a girl to do? Ask her best friend to pretend they've fallen in love, of course.
What follows is quite a journey of entertaining twists and turns (some might call it manipulations) along with a playful dose of revenge (in a good way) that makes the ending perfect.
All my favorite characters from the other books in the series make an appearance, especially Esi, my favorite, which I liked. Ms. Prah delved into Ghana customs and society more in this book which was extremely interesting and added a touch of reality, that only some one who lives there can do.
Entwined Destiny is a fun, sexy read that I'd recommend to those who love contemporary romance.
**Note- Entwined Destiny is a stand alone, but if you haven't read the first two in the series, shame on you, they're really good!
Each Destiny book revolves around an extended family member and each book is a stand alone read. The main character, Adjoa has a relentless father who insists the she marry by the end of the year, or be disinherited. Adjoa hasn't had much luck in the romance department, and asks her best friend Kwame to act as her boyfriend to pacify her father until she finds the man of her dreams.
Little does Adjoa realize that her best friend might also be the man of her dreams, but she's too afraid to lose him as her friend, if their relationship turns sour. Tensions flare and so does romance in this captivating book.
So how does Adjoa resolve her problem? Well, she chooses her friend Kwame to pose as her boyfriend and potential husband to get her parents off her back. These two have a solid friendship and neither wants to jeopardise it. But the thing about fake relationships is that it never goes according to plan and what happens when real feelings start getting in the way, is really the crux of it.
This story gave me a nice, warm and fuzzy feeling as I read it. The real connection between the characters, the humourous dialogue at times and the depth of feelings which you would expect from a relationship that had been in development for years even if the characters hadn't realised it until the last minute.
get my hands on all of her books i can. This was an amazing
read, she packed in a whole lot of fun too. I love the midwife
match maker Esi. who sugest she get a fake boyfriend. when
she selects her best friend is when all the fun begins. They
are so in love with each other they just do not see it. I love
how they end up helping each other. Oh and when someone
plays a trick Adjoa, she dose not get mad (well she dose but
uses her head) she gets even and i can not wait for you to
read it. It was so much fun to see her get them. Now before
I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you enjoy this
book as much as I did. If you do like this book, please

This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review.
Having read the first two books in the series, I was familiar with some of the characters in this book and this one didn't disappoint and kept me as enthralled as before.
What I love about this series is the setting in Ghana which takes us into a different culture to what we're used to in a romance novel. I love learning about another African culture and the writer presents it in an interesting and relatable way.
The romance was touching and also unique. I like that the twists and turns didn't follow a predictable plot but surprised me, yet they made sense as the characters remained true to themselves and didn't do things just because it was expected of them in a romance. Chemistry and love scenes were compelling.
It was an enjoyable, humorous, touching, romantic friends-to-lovers romance. Well written, authentic and unique. Great characters and setting.
