They gave me a colonoscopy ($500), endoscopy ($250), and a ct scan of my stomach area ($100) which returned 0 results to why I was having these ongoing problems. I already told the doctor that I took a probiotic (some over the counter, pill form) which had no effect. The Dr. suggested I take Align probiotic, but got this one instead.
Since I was having some quite severe symptoms (couldn't eat ANY amount food with acid: tomato, orange, ketchup...etc), I figured I would try these out. For the first 3 days I took 2 pills per day (morning & bedtime), then the following 3 days I've only take 1 per day (recommended dose). Yes, this is right, I am on day 6 of using this product and my symptoms have gotten about 95% better.
I just had the best bowel movement of my life and figured I'd pass along my good experience with this product. Try this first before you go to the doctor or purchasing any other over the counter product (acid reducer, tums, pepto...etc). It may seem like a lot, but I wish I would have just taken the leap and purchased this one year ago, I'd have a lot more cash in my pocket and and a whole year less of stomach issues.
Finally, my stomach is settling down and the pain has subsided. I am eating more normally now without suffering.
I highly recommend this particular product - The Enzymatic Pearls Elite. NOTE: All their probiotics are not the same formula.
Here's the ingredients:

The one Walmart sells on the package says:
The same exact formula as the Enzymatic Pearls Elite. Same thing.
Good luck and happy tummy to you - it really works.
My system is moving on its own. I - for the most part - am able to sleep at night again. Exception: I sometimes eat foods (i.e. processed foods, anything already cooked and packaged, and birthday cake icing - that trigger the familiar digestive discomfort (possibly due to gluten intolerance), I occasionally have need of a bottle of a Mylanta equivalent. Overall, however, I feel so much better. I like the fact that these pills are small, tasteless, and don't require refrigeration. I am about to order more now. I HIGHLY recommend Pearls Elite.
UPDATE 5/5/12: Since my original post, I have confirmed that the underlying issues to my digestive tract issues was GLUTEN INTOLERANCE and INSUFFICIENT DIGESTIVE ENZYMES - and LACTOSE INTOLERANCE (which I already knew about). I have experienced crazy constipation for many years. It just seems that my digestive tract was paralyzed. Consequently, I was miserable.Read more ›
I have also tried probiotics by other companies but none compare to Elite Pearls, at least for me.

I used to be a big fan of these, but lately they don't seem to work as well as they used to. Maybe they changed the formula?Published 3 months ago by Keilly Witman
