This one-hand use system with a built-in bright LED light is great for food preparation. Just push the soft-touch button and enjoy your freshly ground salt or pepper. The combination of a powerful motor and grinding dial lets you control the fineness of the grind. The clear acrylic container is simple to fill and makes the content levels easily visible. The durable, rust proof ceramic grinder comes with a cap to keep your table free of spice dust.

I like also that the storage area for the pepper is a clear chamber so you can see how much pepper is in the storage area and you know when to fill it back up. The size of the grind is adjustable and I like that as I prefer larger chunks of pepper in my food. I show how to adjust this in my video.
The grinder easily comes apart for installing the batteries and filling the storage area. I show all of the details of the grinder in my video and I hope it is helpful for you. The unit comes with a nice instruction sheet on how to disassemble the unit and to install the batteries and use it. The unit has a snap on base to hold the pepper flakes in the grinder and to keep the base clean. This is an excellent grinder and nice accessory for anybody's table or kitchen. I rated it at 5 stars.
I was supplied a sample for test and evaluation. A review was not promised to the supplier in exchange for the sample but I stated that if I provided a review that it would be fair and honest.
When I saw the exact same design on Amazon, I ordered two to try and they have NOT been a disappointment. These mils are well-constructed of brushed stainless steel and plastic with a good battery-operated motor. The actual grinders appear to be made of ceramic material, not plastic. They work fantastic! AND, they have been reliable.
When I cook I prefer to grind both pepper and salt into food during preparation. I do not like to use ground pepper or salt shakers during food preparation. I like my coffee ground fresh in the morning, and I like my pepper ground fresh from pepper corns - either in the kitchen or at the table. It is a real pain in the backside to have to lay a spatula or spoon down and engage both hands to grind pepper or salt while at the stove. And that is where these mills are real winners. Just pick one up with one hand and depress the button on top to dispense the exact amount of seasoning you want. The picture on this site of these being used is a perfect depiction.
And this particular mill has a large reservoir that holds sufficient pepper, or salt, to last several weeks in normal use. Currently I have one loaded with pepper corns, and the other loaded with Himalayan salt crystals from Costco. In conclusion, not only do I highly recommend this product, but I am reminded I must order several more for use at the table, to give as gifts, or to use with spices other than pepper and salt. Give them a try - they are reasonably priced, and of good quality construction.
On the second week, the salt mill broke. The grinder is ceramic. The shaft that turns the grinder is steel. The gear that turns the shaft? Plastic.... The plastic teeth on this gear could not stand up to the resistance provided by this Himalayan salt.
Its really a shame that they chose to use cheap plastic parts, because I really otherwise liked this grinder. I will not be exchanging it, as I know the next one will have the same plastic gear and will eventually suffer the same fate.
I would really recommend not buying this product, as you may not be lucky enough to have it break within the first 30 days. Once it is outside of the Amazon return window, you are screwed.
I had no difficulty inserting the 4 AA batteries and filling the container about ¾ full with whole peppercorns. After a little trial and error finding the setting that gave the desired coarseness of the ground pepper, it was just a matter of pressing the button on top until I had a much pepper as I wanted on my food. The LED light that illuminates your food is a nice feature. When the grinder is not being used, a plastic cap keeps any loose pepper from falling out.
The Eparé grinder worked well, and I didn't find any significant negatives. For me, though, I prefer the old manual grinder that we've used for years and had no problems with. There are no batteries to replace, and the simple mechanism will probably last for many years. But if you like newfangled designs, or if you have physical problems (such as arthritis) using a manual grinder, a battery operated grinder may suit your needs better.

Pure junk. Both mills failed to operate many times. Also they came apart many times. Also they are so tall that they are top heavy and tip over too easily. Read morePublished 4 days ago by wbd
