Gr 9 Up--This accessible and logically arranged presentation offers students with eyes keen for adventure and hearts intent on intrigue an invitation to read classics such Beowulf and The Epic of Gilgamesh. It provides overviews of traditionally studied epics from around the world and across the centuries, including works from England, Finland, Greece, Italy, Mali, ancient Rome, and the West Indies.
