Top customer reviews
The Epson photo papers are competitively priced, extremely well packaged and refer beautiful images.
Luster paper has a slightly textured surface compared to glossy, but I think it has a richer look. And unlike matte papers, the color gamut is quite good so you get a good range of colors and tones.
If you have an Epson photo printer, this is an excellent paper to have on hand. You might not need as much as comes in this packaging. There are smaller quantities available.
Its not too glossy nor too matte, its just perfect!! I love how it makes the colors shine.
Absolutely amazed by its quality. And I have to say that I ordered it from the USA even though I live in Germany. I couldnt find the exact same paper here, plus it costs a lot more here. So this shop really did me a great favor.
I cant imagine anyone getting disappointed from this paper. You get what you paid for!
I posted two pictures here trying to show you the results.. Though my camera isnt as sharp as the printed results... Maybe its helpful in some way.
This larger sized paper seems to be no different in quality than the smaller cuts with the same product name. Because of this I'd recommend going though at least 50 sheets of 8.5x11 or even 4x6 of the same type to become familiar with what it looks like before dropping the cash for large sizes like this, but if you're already familiar with smaller Ultra Premium Luster then you know what you're going to get with this stuff.
Other papers out there by companies like Red River are nicer in various ways, and less expensive per square inch, but at the very least they're going to require their own ICC profiles and possibly printer setting tweaking. If you need to just show up at some place where there's an Epson printer or othetrwise can't get full control of the printing process due to lack of time or whatever, the Epson Ultra Premium papers are always the thing to use when you need the best quality output possible without any special configuration or calibration.
For those photographers that sell using these papers there will be $ a balance to determine. You'll adapt to the paper you choose so it boils down to getting your results dialed in. Good paper, good ink, do your part and the results will be a thumb-up.
I bought mine on sale through an Amazon seller at sub $100. As tempting as another line of cost conscious paper may be, I'm conservative so experimenting for a difference in a few pennies difference wasn't worth the move. This paper at ~$150 can only be determined by your willingness to spend-save. Even at $150 I'll continue to buy it.
My large prints are done on a ZBE Chromira SE on Fuji Pearl paper so as proofs, I know what to adjust for output on the lab's printer.
