Editorial Reviews

Review

“A deftly crafted legal thriller of a novel by an author with genuine knack for a reader engaging narrative storytelling style…” —Midwest Book Review

“A gripping thriller with a heart, An Equal Justice hits the ground running…The chapters flew by, with surprises aplenty and taut writing. A highly recommended read that introduces a lawyer with legs.” Crime Thriller Hound

?In An Equal Justice, author Chad Zunker crafts a riveting legal thriller…An Equal Justice not only plunges readers into murder and conspiracy involving wealthy power players, but also immerses us in the crisis of homelessness in our country.” The Big Thrill

“A thriller with a message. A pleasure to read. Twists I didn’t see coming. I read it in one sitting.” —Robert Dugoni, #1 Amazon bestselling author of My Sister’s Grave

“Taut, suspenseful and action packed with a hero you can root for, Zunker has hit it out of the park with this one.” —Victor Methos, bestselling author of The Neon Lawyer

From the Publisher

This is the fourth book I’ve worked on with Chad Zunker—and the one that is closest to his real life. Thirteen years ago, Chad walked into a secret homeless camp and learned about the true source of happiness: an authentic life. In An Equal Justice, Chad introduces David Adams, a young lawyer who, after years of struggling, lands a much-coveted position at a prestigious Austin law firm.

After a late night (of many spent at the firm), David witnesses a homeless man being assaulted. When the man, Benny, refuses a trip to the hospital, David brings him to his own apartment. With that gesture, a very unlikely but important relationship is forged. David soon learns there is more to Benny’s story than meets the eye. And their connection leads to a chain reaction of events, leaving David to question the partners of his law firm—and his purpose in life.

With
An Equal Justice, Chad Zunker brings a fresh voice to legal thrillers with a social conscience—much like writers such as Scott Turow and John Grisham. Mixing suspense and self-discovery is a tricky endeavor, but it works brilliantly in the gifted hands of Chad Zunker. An Equal Justice is a thrill ride, for sure, but it also might change your mind about the very definition of success.
