The only reason I did not rate it 5 stars was because I would have loved to see a bit more of the "outside" world fleshed out. Don't get me wrong.... I loved learning how "to be gay" right along with Skye and I was thrilled to watch Skye come undone at Liam's hand. The limited time frame and male escort/paying client situation made for a more character focused story and while it was an exceptional story, I tend to prefer a broader view of the world in which I am delving into. With that said, Liam was absolutely my favorite kind of Dom. He was sweet and caring while firm and focused. His determination to make sure Skye not only knew how to find and give pleasure was second to his need to teach him how to play safe. He was teaching him self-confidence and self-worth and I loved him for it. I am not a big fan of the "pain just because I wanna give it and you're gonna take it" Dom/sub type books and this book was far from that. Skye, with his innocence and questions and analytical mind was a refreshing change from the typical "lost sub" and Liam with his heart of gold and humor was in my opinion the best kind of Dom. This book made me laugh, touched my heart, even made me wanna slap Liam a time or two <lol> and that's the best kind of thank you I can give to the author. I would have loved to see what the future held for these two.... This book is a total keeper and I am already on reread number 2!
Probably one of the best books I've ever read. You know when some stories have more romance than sex? Or when they have more sex than romance? Yeah, well this story is just the perfect balance between these too. A good 90 percent of the story is sexual. A sizzling, mind-blowing, made my heart beat faster and my toes curl kind of story. And yet, because of the situation of their "relationship" - escort vs client -, it's through sex that their feelings toward each other develop, from the very first encounter. So even if sex is omnipresent and contains BDSM, there is such tenderness between them that even though you can't forget the nature of their relationship, it makes the very sexual encounters balance perfectly between sweet and sexy.
The only flaw I find is very personal. Since the entire story is about the growth of love through sex, I would have liked to know how their change of relationship status, and their declaration of love affected their sexual life. Haha!! Like I said, it's very personal, it's not really a flaw. Maybe I just didn't want the story to end, maybe I just got addicted to the sexy part of the story... probably both.
I think I will re-read it many times in the future. Congratulations to the author!
One of my favorite books. The story and romance have good balance. The ending is superb as well. A must buy for anyone.
