This is a QUALITY piece. The spiral binding is probably 3 times as heavy as a normal spiral notebook. I cannot distort the perfect curvature with any amount of pressure from the grip of my hand. I don't think it would even bend with being stepped on. In other words: Excellent. And it's a 1.5" coil, so there is *plenty* of room to flip the pages and have it lay open flat, even at the beginning or end of the year, when most of the pages will be on one side of the coil. The covers are made of a very durable and quite firm plastic, with vibrant colors that don't scratch off. The inside cover has a little "white board" of sorts where you can use a dry or wet erase marker, or put on stickers or sticky notes. It has a 1/2" border that corresponds with the cover print, with the rest of the inside cover being a white box with ruled lines you can write on - again - eraseable, or sticky-remove-able. Nice touch!
Like most weekly planners, it has a full-month on two pages with a tab corresponding to each month. Following each month tab are two-page spreads for each week. The weekly dates start with the Sunday, last week of December where January 1st falls in the week. The left pages have four days in a horizontal orientation down the page, and the right pages have the remaining three days of the week, and then the fourth space is "Notes."
At the back of the binder there are loads of stickers that you can put on the monthly calendar (birthday, party, concert, day off, shopping, vacation) - a full page of the birthday ones, a single page divided equally among the others mentioned, and then two full pages of blank stickers you can personalize to the occasion. The inside of the back cover has a pocket that's big enough to hold greeting cards, bills, scraps of paper. The cover can be popped off (the holes where it attaches to the spiral binding are not closed on the edge, so you can remove it!). Apparently the publisher has other covers one can buy to replace it seasonally or according to your mood or even outfit. :)
Honestly, every detail is very well attended to. This is a wonderful piece as a gift or for yourself. Not large enough or detailed enough for a professional scheduler, in my opinion, but very well suited for a young student, a busy mom or the like.
The price may seem high, but this is not some value-added markup. They have spared no expense in making a notebook that simply HAS to endure a year's daily fiddling, bumping around in a purse, being thrown in the back seat or hauled off by a toddler on the run - durable, functional, beautiful and fun to use. Highly recommended.
Only 2 things I dislike (both just personal preference)
Last days of month will go in next month's section
Only 12 months, I wish the offered a 18 month version
